Default what to do when the new body style comes out?

hey guys i have been thinking alot, for all of us guys that dumped a **** load of $ into our cars what intentions do u plan on having when the new body style comes out?
dont get me wrong the current one is hott but i want to stay on top of the new line of Z's that are yet to come out.
when ever the new z comes out i plan on buying one and swaping out the motor and throwing in my twin turbo block. As far as the stock block i would throw it into my old Z and sell it. What do u guys think about the idea?

unless they put on the nismo v2 kit as oem =)

Yeah, its hard to improve the style/lines of this car but there are needed impovements if you were out to make a better design. Overall, the car will still endup looking like this more of less. What i see in the future is new headlights and redesign bumper to make it more roundish. The back will stay the same. If you guys take a look at last month or even this months R&D or motortrend you will see an artist rendition of the 08 Z

I plan on having this car for a long time. My next "nice" car, if I ever get one, will either be a GTR or a 911 turbo, but that will probably be in 10 years when I can hopefully find a used GTR for sale.

The Z will be my custom car and I'll keep the other factory.

The likelyhood on any of your parts fitting into the next Z are the same are your current parts fitting into a 300ZX (i.e. NONE)

+1 although maybe just closer to factory.

BTW, if the new body style is anything like the Road & Track rendition, it's not much of a change and for the worse IMHO.

so you're going to spend A LOT of extra money to sell the "old Z" with a "new different brand new engine" for A LOT less just to "look" like it's new?

what do you do when the new body style comes out?

nothing

you either sell your car to get the newest thing, or you keep your car. Usually most people that invest big money in aftermarket stuff, tend to keep their car to get their full money's worth of enjoyment out of the car

IMO it's fickle to jump to the new body style just because it's new. I love the Z33. Even if the new one is really nice, that's not going to make me love my car less.

I am new to the Z, and i have put money down for a 07. I love the hood i really do. I am a ex E46 guy and it reminds me of that big bully e46M3. I used to have a 04 330ci that got rear ended. I was gona go E46 again till i saw the Z and took it for a test. Iam getting the 07 because of the way it drives and looks. Whats to come down the road i don't care because in a few years later something new will come anyways. The way of life. Enjoy it while you can.

It has a big triangular bulge in the middle like the classic 240Z hoods, but "modern". I guess they're trying to make it more of a throwback car now. I don't really like the looks of it in pics but perhaps it will look better in person.
