Question MOTEC Tuner needed. Any takers?

Anyone on the east coast that can tune and install a Motec stand alone for me? I have the EU, Harness and all sensors.

I have already spoken to Kenny Tran @ Jotech about sending my car down to them to tune it for me with the Motec. After shipping and $2100 to tune I will be pretty broke.

I figure making a call out on here would be my best shot. Any well known shop on the east coast/MidWest think they could handle tuning? (INJECTED, FORGED, SOUND PERFORMANCE, MRC, ALTERED ect...) Otherwise it will be up forsale.

have you looked at non-Z shops? possibly some Porsche tuners or something?

Motec's website does not list authorized tuners?

why not fly the tuner out to your location? A roundtrip airline ticket is cheaper than shipping your car there and back.

Thumbs up

Performance motorsports is doing my tune. I'm assuming the same guy that tunes there race car

I have to trailer this pig down there.. 6 hours It runs to much like SHIET to even drive another mile.

Once tuned.. I will post up the full build of my turd and #'s. Looking for mid 500's at 12psi and 600's at 18psi if it stays together .. This was the first motor I build myself.lol

I am familiar with Motec's software and platform, but havent tuned one on a 350Z.

Can I ask why you have elected to use the Motec? It is an excellent standalone, but there are proven standalone options out there, such as FCON, that might be better suited for a streetcar.

If you want to tackle this project, give me a call.

The ENKEI 350z show car was parting out everything on the car.. Mike at TUNEDWHIPS.com (Sponsors the car)asked if I needed anything for my car and found out the car had a motec stand alone. I got everything for around $3100 which I thought was a steal and decided to ditch the UTEC.

$3100 is a terrific deal for the Motec. Did you get the M600?

I would opt for Motec on a full race car, however Sharif is right, a lesser complicated system would be more suitable for the street. From what I have been told, Motecs take a while to set up properly and have issues with the DBW set up...
Vinny is working on the new Hydra that should be a great solution to plug and play tunning on street and full race cars..We will be working with vinny on this future project as well as some others.Vinny is very helpful and has lots of usefull information on the VQ build ups, from tackeling unchartered territory...When you build a 1700whp 6 second VQ motor, you learn a few things along the way of what NOT to do..Thank god for the Rubio's and their well spent money They allowed Vinny to discover alot of technology along the way, and it is an honor for us to be working with a person of Vinny's caliber on our upcomming projects and builds..

Do you have a pic of the M48 harness? I'd love to see that.
