Default Blown Couplings

Hey all,
I just finished with a TN install and I keep either blowing couplings off, or they are so close they are loosing boost. When it's all good I can hear my Raptor making it's sweet music, then performance drops and the BOV sound is replaced with nothing else then a pssssshhhhttt!
I have tighten the ones that have come loose damn tight, you can put some pretty serious pressure on those v-bands!

The v-band clamps are on the exhaust piping.

I think you are talking about the t-bolt clamps.

You need to make sure the tbolt clamps are tightened above/below the beed rolls on the charge piping. see attached ghetto art work.

Yeah you need to adjust the piping a bit sometimes to get the beed rolls to be even across the system. Its a pain but once its right theres no issues at all. Thats the whole point of the bead rolls and t bolt clamps.

Its really important to keep everything loose tilll the final routing and tightning ---On the silicons, make sure u have a good bite and an oil free silicon to pipe connection--- That means even oil from ur fingers.

you may have to readjust several of the pipes to get evwerything aligned.

When I installed my kit, I had plenty of room to make sure that all the t-bolt clamps were beyond the bead on the pipe. somewhere maybe you have a misadjusted pipe that is throwing off the fitment along the line.

+1, if it's that much of a problem, spray carb/brake cleaner on a rag and wipe both surfaces right before you put them together. it WILL NOT come apart.

Thanks all, some good ideas here. I think I may know this spot that is throwing everything off. Not much room for error here!
Thanks again,
Sean
