Default E-Manage tuning

Anyone tuned the Greddy 350z TT emanage that comes in the TT kit with the Greddy Support Tool software??? The first window asks for a password to lock the data but can't get it to accept one. Is there a specific password and does updating firmware delete any maps?????

The only people who are supposed to have the password are dealers. If somebody were to unwittingly adjust the pre-tuned out of the box map incorrectly and blow something up, it voids any chance of the car owner having any recourse.

Now, if you want to start tuning from scratch, then you just go to "file - new" and start a new map. After you make changes, you're support tool software should automatically export those changes to the EM (i.e. DO NOT click "export", this is done automatically, assuming your are making changes while the car is running). To verify the changes have been made, click the icon to compare what's on your screen with what's in the EM and it will tell you if there are any differences.

Plus its safeer to wipe your @$$ with a cobra than it is to run the Emanage blue out of the box. You just itching to blow some thing up on that one. Now the Emanage ultimate IMHO is the minimum you need to run effectively.

There are much better EM's out there dont take a chance on Emanage blue.

from reading all the posts, I think your right. After buying and installing all the harnesses, support tool and adapters, I'm looking at the UTEC. Just need to find a good tuner somewhere around west TN????
