Default My new setup! What should i expect?

Ok so i recently overhauled my car and settled on a Greddy TT kit after having a Vortech s/c and a TN kit, in that order. My car is still at the shop right now and i should be picking it up at the end of this week. Anyway, im just wondering what kinda hp numbers i should expect and what is possible, so lemme know what you guys think. Here are my mods:

Greddy TT
JE 9:1 pistons
Crower Billet Rods
RC550cc injectors (will be upgrading to 750cc's within a few weeks)
Walbro 255lph
AAM Maxflow exhaust
Crawford Plenum
AAM Oil Pan spacer
AAM Fuel Return system (stage 1)
AAM spec DP Dump tubes
HKS Headgaskets
L19 Headstuds
ARP Mainstuds
Apexi AVC-R
Utec and tuner reg

When i get the car back i still have to break it in so i wont be able to give you guys my actual numbers until i go back and get tuned, but that wont be long, prolly bout a week after. Anyway, thanks for your guys' feedback

Jon

btw, this will all be on 93 octane. Im not sure if we are going to do a race gas map yet, but we'll see

You're def good for low/mid 500's for safety but I would go with FCON VPro if you are looking for anything over 540-550 or so. You will hit 500 with no problem at all considering the dumps will increase boost nicely and safely. Do you have any cooling mods? If not, you need to look into that. Good luck and be careful.

P.S. not a big deal at all but you might ought to have chosen 8.5:1. Won't matter much...

yeah im just curious cuz i was just reading about some shops hitting over 500 on the stock block, granted it was alot of tuning, but im just wondering what the threshold for built motors is then

U dont do more power if u have the internals u r just safe for boosting more so in ur setup I think r maxed at 500 ish coz of few things....
1) UR ECU as it was said to u b4 get the F-con this will be a wise thing to do.
2) limitation for more than 500 is that you have no cams. (no high rev rpm.)
3) no more than 500 ish coz of ur enjectors man you might want to upgrade befor you tune coz it makes it easy to do the job at once)

I have a question.... what size is ur exhaust coz this will effect ur power when u talk about more than 500 whp.

one more thing i did a research on the Plenum as far as i recall is that FI TT guys where loosing power once they go on top end of rpm and SHARIF posted a thread about THE ONLY Plenum that give u gain untill red line i'll look it up for any way its not out yet so if I was i would just get the stock 1 back for the time being all the best man and I hope u reach all ur goals and u will b boosting happily soon have lots of fun

I run 9:1 compression along with 20+ other built motor Z/G owners with no issues. OP-Id say low 500's, why no cams?

Unless you have a custom set made, all Arias Extreme Duty pistons are 9:1 compression Some feel more comfortable with 8.5:1 thats fine too. At that point its more about choosing a quality piston than debating a .5 compression ratio difference

Your #s will depend on the dyno used but my guess would be about 500 - 550whp @ 12.5psi on a Dynojet. Good luck!

C2 cams are supposed to be better for FI than S1 cams, but on Sharifs dyno I havent seen a noticable difference between the 2 from what customers with similar builds post. S1's or C2's either way is good. BTW $1100 now is a lot cheaper than doing it later...

Nobody said not having cams would limit you--->at 12.5psi. Which is the boost level he is gonna be running and asking about. If you had cams you' d be squeezing 20+whp easy at that psi, but you already know that.

oh yeah i def agree w/ you that 1100 now is cheaper than later, its just that i have more important things that i need to spend that on now, i.e school and books and ****, so ill actually be able to afford them a bit later. It just works out better for me

Yeah, just read this part off silvernismo's post

Unless I read it wrong.
