Default 07 VQ35HR Thoughts So Far?

I know the VQ35HR is still in its infancy but I wanted to get a preliminary feel for how the major tuners on this board feel about Nissan's new baby. For the record, I picked up a 07 Enthusiast 6 spd. last week and would like to be involved as I can be in the development of the aftermarket for the HR motor.

I know news in the performance market for the Z travels fast, has anyone heard of actual R&D being done yet on a HR? (Greddy, JWT, APS, Turbonetics, etc)

With the new design of the HR.... do you think it'll be significantly harder to boost due to the higher compression, dual throttle bodies, and variable exhaust cam timing?

Is there any word on when a 07 UTEC would be available?

I have searched around and found only very basic questions regarding the HR so hopefully this brings up more advanced / comprehensive questions about the 07 350z.

Thanks!

Higher compression means it will handle less boost.

Dual throttle bodies might actually make the piping less difficult for a TT kit.

The rev up allready has variable exhaust timing, so no problems there.

My wife has a 07 G35x with the VQ35HR, and I am really impressed with it so far. Good low end torque that doesn't die off in the higher rpms. Very nice so far.

Let the tuners come up with something for the 06 REVUP, then worry about the HR.

We will give a free complete fuel return system to whoever allows us to confirm compatability of existing parts and/or machine new components if required for the HR.

Like what?

You mean a TT kit (like the one on my revup)?

Or the UTEC (like the one on my revup)?

Or what exactly, since there are plenty of things already developed for the revup?

Well, since 99.9% of Z/G's on the road have the DE, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for aftermarket HR parts.

So, since my car is G35 6MT coupe, which has the REVUP engine, can you tell me what differences there are between 05 and 06 revup?

Hint to get you started: None, engine, ECU, or suspension wise, except for the bluetooth, and rear wheel steer.

You can lead a horse to water, you can stick his head in the trough and try and drown him, but you can't make him drink....

I would need either the whole car brought to me for examination and comparison, or several parts of it shipped to me.

Due, were you born retarded, or did someone drop you on your head as a child?

There are plenty of bolt on TT kits for the 05-06 G's, to include the JWT.
