Default "Z33ART" SC Bracket (Quamen delivers as promised)

Here it is! For anyone who was waiting to see some progress or for anyone who thought that I was not seriously doing this project I have some pictures of the machined bracket. After countless wood prototypes in order to get the bolt pattern perfect I got a working design and made the program and machined it tonight.

I am calling the products that I make for the project "Z33ART" which will be CNC etched into each part like this bracket.

It is made out of 6061 T6511 aluminum and the bracket it self will be .900" thick (no flew here). It has three large pockets milled .500" deep in order to add some flare and to reduce the weight ( even though this bracket is about 7"x8" total).

Enjoy!

I am going to buff and polish it this week just for the heck of it but it will most likely get anodized and/or hard coated in the end. I will try to get some much better pics of the logo so you guys can see the detail and how nice it looks.

The solid motor mounts I am making will aslo have the logo on them and will be done on a turning center with live tooling which is next to come followed closely by the shell for the crank hub.

Looks awesome bro. Maybe we'll all be trading out our Vortech brackets for this one!

What program did you use to create the design? Or did you kick it old school and write out the lines of G-Code

It is a relocation bracket and I did machine the back off today and it is mounted to the supercharger right now. However, it does not have the spacers in it yet so when i post pictures of it in a bit the pulley will be sitting in the circular pocket so obvioulsy a belt could not be put on yet. I will make the spacer to go over the bolts as soon as I finish the crank shell that way I can get a perfect belt alignment.

Also, I got better pictures of the scribing that I will post as soon as I go up to the 928M office.

I used Mastercam in order to make the program and ran it on a HAAS. The program was some 2200 lines long or something like that. I could also use Featurecam but I didn't.

While anyone who has a Vortech could easily swap their headunit onto this stuff as long as they are willing to remove their A/C i don't think I will be making more. I would be willing to make some of the aluminum solid motor mounts I am making or just the bracket if someone wanted to try messing with it. You could use the stock front rad mount and stock vortech intercooler if you switched to a narrower rad, got some new piping (quite striaght forward) and a new rad hose to the thermostat.
