Default Im Finally FI!!

Hey guys..I've finally gotten the finances to go turbo. Im picking up my Turbonetics ST Turbo w/ UTEC, overboost pipe, 550cc injectors and APS fuel pump. I want to run the same exhaust as i have now (top-speed catback exhaust, Tanabe Y-Pipe and Helix downpipes), however im not completely sure if this is possible. If anyone could chime in on this, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone know approx what kind of #'s i can expect (i heard around 400bhp with 420lb/tq with the kit alone). I also have JWT cams. Thanks!

P.S.- Ill post pics of the install and vids of the dyno soon. Thanks again guys!

Exhaust won't work. At least not the Helix (im assuming you mean HF Cats or test pipes) and Y pipe.

Your T pro wil work. The TN downpipe extends to where the Y pipe ends.

congrats on going FI! you'll love the massive power, but will hate the traction issues.

Thanks for the replies guys....Hopefully i wont have too bad of traction issues (im running 295's in the rear and 245's in the front, both of which are on 19x9 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear) However, im sure with the added hp its going to take some getting used to before i'll be able to hook em up properly. I cant wait to feel the power!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcJ-NdMv3dM. this is a vid of the tsz33 crew. watch the whole thing. the revvin part is near the end. my car is the blk 1 with the spoiler. you'll hear my car just turn the vol up so u can hear it alot better. if u want a better clip let me know. just to let u know that my car is loud its no wussy exhaust.

Congrats!!! As mentioned above the Topspeed exhaust will bolt right up to the Turbonetics downpipe. No need for the Helix cats or y pipe though..

Me either! I want to have it done by the time we have our D&B meet on the 15th (im pretty sure thats when it is). Does anyone know if i'll need to get a new fuel line since mine was tapped for my Nitrous kit (it was a wet kit)? Can i leave it tapped but not spray without any problems?? Any info would help.

My numbers are 365whp and 360wtq. My system sounds somewhat similar to yours. I also have a conserative tune too cause I drive my car very hard and dont want to be pushing my motor to the max all the time.

expect hp levels anywhere from 360 to 400's....depends on the tune mainly.

I really hope its well into the 400's, especially since i have JWT cams already installed. I was pushing 340+ hp with my 100shot of nitrous and all my other mods...if i get just 360-380 hp im going to be a little disappointed. That would mean for a little over $5,000, i gained 20-40hp over what i was doing with my N20. If thats the case, I could have just was well upped the shot to 150, got something like greddy e-manage or UTEC and a fuel pump, and most likely had around the same hp for MUCH cheaper. I truly hope this isnt the case, but i guess we'll have to see how things go. :-\

Did you get Issac's UTEC, or does he still have it?

Yes, i got his UTEC as well...pretty much everything that was on his car, including the 550cc injectors, APS fuel pump, and of course everything uncluded in the turbonetics kit. Hes a great guy, and was a pleasure to do business with. Its unfortunate what happened to him and his Z (at least he has a beautiful TT supra now). And yes, the cams are S1's. I got them installed last summer and had been having problems with stalling at idle (apparently i needed to raise my idle to 800rpm), so i just put the Z away for the winter a bit early and decided to deal with everything in the spring when i had the $$ rather than tune my car, and then have to Re-tune when and if i got a turbo. Thank god i did, and let me say... Im glad i waited :-)

Oh, i also have a manual boost controller that i dont even know if i'll ever touch until i upgrade my internals more (forged everything). Has anyone with a manual or electronic boost controller boosted over stock boost? Any problems? From what I hear its fairly dangerous for the engine if its not built up. Any input would help.
