Default Top Speed

Ok here it goes i raced a ford GT it was an arranged race and to cut the story short i over took him by 1 car ahead on 1 bar boost and then after we r done an argument started the guys was pissed off coz he thinks i was hiting the break on 260 km and he wanted to go all the way to 300+ km but the fact is that the Z has the fule cut my car Switched off in the second run right after i toped the speed it switched off... any way i think thats too much talking so if i get the speed cut thing from HKS does any1 think i will have a head lift if i go to 300 or 380km on six for a long time... keep in mind i do have a nismo HD and L19 studs and arp buttom studs...

I have never heard of anyone using the HKS Speed Limit Defencer or the Fule Cut Defencer on our cars. Im not sure either work. You should have your ECU reflashed though to get rid of the speed limiter.

You should honestly just up the boost 6psi and race him again to make the margain even bigger and see how much he whines.

I know, but he should up that to the 20psi area, just to make a point with the guy. Kind of like putting the final nail in the coffin.

Send the ECU to TEchnosquare they will take off the limiter. I know how you feel though, my limiter was removed NA, and then TN-regardless of what they say they touch or dont touch inthe ECU put it back with the flash, now Greddy TT and Im capped at 160mph again...

Truth is,not many people can honestly answer if your car will run into heating issues, head lift, etc, at sustained speeds over 160mph. Id do a run to 180mph nice and quick, but I wouldnt be trying to go for max speed its way to risky to be worth it IMO, I would accelerate till the car stops pulling hard and let off. Send off the ECU, pay $150, get the limiter removed, run 18psi instead of 14.7 and kill him to 170-180mph whatever you feel comfortable with.

Edit-I have done maybe 10 pulls to 160mph since having the car back, no issues on my end, but adding in another 20-30mph to that who knows....

Top my car (150+) a few times with my TT set-up (Technosquare Reflash No speed limiter) very smooth but to risky for me... If you run in front or behind somebody over 120 mph and you or the other car its not gaining I don't see the point going 140 or 150 +... its like you can tell who's car is faster with one good roll from 40 to 140 for example... just my 2 cents

Nice kill....a 150mph terminal velocity is totally respectable....nice work.

When I "used" to race the Evo's, they would always shut it down at like 120mph.

On the track, I have taken my car up to 170-175mph in sixth on a road coarse. I didnt have any issues, but who knows what would happen, if I continued accelerating or maintained WOT for another 5 seconds or so.

175mph is pretty nuts....I cant see any reason to travel much faster than that for any longer periods of time.

Yeah I get your point... I felt the same thing when I know my car is faster than the other one and for some reason my car its not 100%... leave you with that "bad taste" like some people say, hehehe...

Can you reflash the ecu if you're running Fcon or any other type of piggy back? I'd like to see who has done that and the results?
