Default TN Kit questions.

Alright kids, I have my utec in an installed and minus a few parts I have everything needed to run my TN kit.

I have two main questions of major concern.

I will be installing a walbro 255lph, will I have problems with fuel pressure and what are people doing to alleviate any of these problems.

I will most likely get a return fuel setup down the road but I have the bare bones setup and will.

Any other words of advice for my imminent install.

I don't think too many people had problems with fuel pressure as long you have at least 1/4 tank in your gas. I've seen people report that when doing wot runs, fuel delivery is not so great with less than 1/4 tank of gas. Just make sure to get a good tune and you should be able to go!
Or you could do a very basic return fuel system from AAM if you are on a budget. That is what I did and it works fantastic.

To be more clear. You will need to modify the stock FPR to keep your fuel pressure in the 53-55 PSI range at idle. According to phunk that and the siphon jet are all that you need to drill although the Turbonetics instructions do have you drill some holes in the surge tank. My car has been set up per the Turbonetics instructions for some time now and I don't have an issue unless I'm below 1/8 of a tank of gas in which case I'm not boosting anyways.

Also, the local shop in cincy, who will remain nameless has installed a TN kit but kept having problems blowing oil seals, I am assuming this is installer error or possibly a bad turbo. What if any are tips to avoid this problem during my installation.

I decided that I have the auto competancy to install this myself with alot of help from my friend Budweiser. The kit is pretty straight forward and should be easy to install, I am just going to have to get a base map from Sharif before i drive down there...

Also MIA, the v-band are they special in any way. One broke during shipping and i was going to order one from atp.

Just make sure your oil return lines has a good downward flow with no kinks or uphill sections. Also I personally wouldn't return the oil feed into an oil pan spacer but a lot of people seem to do that. The vbands Turbonetics uses are pretty standard. Just make sure you get the right size replacement as there are two different sized Vbands int the kit.

Charge pipes? Charge pipe typically refers to the cold side. You mean the hot side pipings coming off the headers? Thats a 2.5"

My setup as for fuel pressure is bore the regulator as per TN. The siphon jet also needs to be bored out. I didn't have the drilled holes put in the surge tank and I'm running perfect fuel pressure. This was told to me not to be done. But you can do as MIA said, for he has the setup and works fine. If your going to eventually run a return system I wouldn't.

Good luck with everything.
