Don't install the turbo kit... if you cant afford the possible loss, and extra cost that comes with it (like a good tune to make sure you dont blow it... and even then..... ) don't install the turbo. Although you will most likely not have issues with low boost, and there are members that have done this for many miles, I wouldn't suggest it. If you cant afford to have the engine blow, don't take the risk. You'll also need a decent tune to make sure you don't run lean, etc. I hear the greddy e-manage blue that I think comes with the kit isn't all that great, so I'd put in a better engine control unit if you really want to play it safe. Mind you none of this is from my personal experience, just what I've read on the boards from people who know much more than me on this issue.

If you think its hot maybe you should report him. I know he is your friend but think of the guy that spent a lot of hard earned money for all that and then had it taken from them. I would at least look into it a bit more before you buy it.
And to agree with shushikiary, If you can't afford it normally, don't bother. Once you blow that motor (and you will) you'll find yourself parting out your car cause you can't afford a new motor.

reasons being. its been quite awhile for a vq motor to blow, off of a good install, good tune, and safe psi. i haven't seen any threads on it. butttt when i do search into 06 and 05, there were many threads about people blowing their motor off of to much psi, not a good tune, overboosting and such. Shoot ive even read some1 put the TT kit on without an EM and just ran. So to me i think our turbo kits are well planned out and are pretty safe. without the correct things.
I mean I'm sure a lot of people on this forum get the FI without really thinking about getting a built block or such but if something does go down to where your motor blows then to me it seems like thats where people make the decision.
all in all it is up to you, it is YOUR car.
EDIT: LIKE MIAPLAYA, his car is running real strong! and i forgot how many miles but it was alot

LOL I always wonder when I see this if the kit was stolen from a car. I hope whoever stole had enough time to remove the whole thing (thats like 15 hours easy) or if its in box and just "fell off a truck". Either way its stolen property. I wouldn't go anywhere near it.
but guys dont u think 5.5psi on a stock z would be safe. i mean im sure the clutch will give out after awhile then again i never really launch my car i drive 40miles a day and go to the track once a month most of the time i race from rolls on the highway anyway
By the way i would never steal anything. I do feel bad for the person i really do but the price is so god damn cheap and hes gunna sell it to someone else if not me anyway that guy will never see that kit again. And it is defintly hot cause he has other 350z parts to which is funny. If im gunna ever twinturbo i figure nows the time

I don't condone stealing but if it is already stolen and i don't know the person i see it as a "oportunity". I do believe in karma but i would have to take the risk on that deal
Just remember that the victim was probably compensated for by his insurance.
