greddy tt problem
hey guys i finnally got my car up and running but appon inspection after the initial start up i noticed that i have a small, slow and persistant leak coming from the bolt around my powersteering fitting. i tried tighting it, taking it out reinstalling it making sure the rubber o-ring is in place and it still leaks???any suggestions?thanks for the help
When you took the old fitting out, did the OLD o-ring come with it? I know when I did mine, the old o-ring was stuck in there and I put the new one on not knowing the old o-ring was there.. I had a leak so we removed and inspected to find the old one.. We got it out, reinstalled and it was fine..
I know its a PITA getting it off/ on as all the stuff is in the way but that might be the issue..

its not a nissan fitting its the one that came with the greddy twin turbo kit^^^ ken the fitting that came with the kit did not include an o-ring did yours? so i just used the one off the oem fitting(seemed to be the same size). I pulled it apart and looked at it tonight..im baffled its installed correctly with the o-ring and still it drips from the bottom behind the fitting and around the bolt. i dont want to take my car off the stands till i fix this problem any other solutions? Im thinking about cutting and welding my oem one to the same shape as the new one maybe i got a bad fitting that just doesnt fit properly?im gunna see if greddy can send me a new one

Yea it is supposed to come with an o-ring.. I wouldl try and find one at an auto parts store.. you need the o-ring to be a little bigger so it can fit in their snugly.. you DO NOT want to tighten the bolt down to where you strip it.. That is a whole world of hurt there..
Make sure the o-ring is compatible with oils as some are not. Maybe call Greddy and see wtf.. maybe they can send you 1..

Try this,
My elbow had a crack along the crappy Greddy weld. Block 1 end & blow into the other.(after cleaning it well, of course) When I did it, I could hear the air leaking out. I too thought it was the o-ring. I just had someone smack a small weld to close the crack up.
just say no to crack...
crack is whack...

hey guys so upon inspection i found out that it was the fitting included with the kit.. I was so pissed the thing is welded on an angle so when you install it and tighten it down their is still an small gap around the top. this is how the small amount of fluid was coming out. thanks greddy lol but i did find a simple and easy solution to any one who has this problem or will have it in the future. the oem fitting is much better quality then the greddy so i decided to use it but it wont fit in the stock mounting location position with the charge pipes installed so simply flip the oem fitting so it points up like the greddy one and their you go. I just installed it and all the pipes clear it (charge and intake) with no problem. I did however purchase a new o-ring just to be safe. also no sealent is needed seeing how it is installed from the factory with out any. again this is because the fit is 100% perfect (oem). thanks again to everyone who posted and helped out with advice. I hope this can save some people time and fustration.
