Default 03 Coil Packs

How often do these go out and is there a replacement for them. Also, how can you tell that one is out or not. Would it start to sputter in high rpm? What are other running, as far as ignition systems on FI. Thanx.

Mine are almost 4.5 years old and 47k miles and no issues.

The car will just not run properly always not just at high rpm's have the car running and pull the clips one at a time and if one doesn't make a difference on how the engine runs then you know that one is possibly bad, it could be an injector also, visually they also get a slight bubbling on a side.

If you have Cipher you can shut each cylinder down using your laptop rather than pulling each clip.

Beyond how OBD2 checks for a misfire is direct observation of coil waveforms.
Compare waveforms of all coils and observe differences.

Download free sample software and see how easy with the right tools.
