That's kind of what I was implying

Not questioning the quality of the work, just waiting months for a motor is bit excessive.

We have had a very high demand for our engines which is why the turn around time is so long. Also since a stroker motor takes longer than a standard build (and we have been selling quite a few stroker engines lately) this also increases our turn around time.

I am glad to say we are catching up on a lot of work and should be able to provide much faster turn around times in the near future.

I am sure you have a great motor Zivman, as you said as long as the finish product is good that is what matters. Which is why we do EVERYTHING in house so there is no one to blame if something were to go wrong, this way we can ensure the highest level of quality control.

Hope this helps,

It's no doubt GTM puts out a good product. I know that almost every shop on here uses them - heck, even some of the builder shops kind of 'relabel' your motors as theirs. That said, It seems the wait for your products is a bit much. I know I wouldn't wait 8 wks like doug, let alone the ~ 4 months that brian did for a motor. I do know that it very well may be the demand that is driving this, but recently I see A LOT of posts about new GTM products, new stroker kits, new pistons new cams, new this, new that; which is absolutely awesome and they all look fantastic. What about those that have motors and cams and such on order? Seems like they waiting and waiting and waiting for their goods. Maybe a little less hype and little more follow through???

Hoping you aren't taking this the wrong way, just an observation and some constructive criticism

has to be more going on than that.. i ordered my motor after Brian did and got mine before his.. either there was a delay in the orginal order being made or someone kept changing the order, but i know my motor was ordered at least 2 months after his.

The motor was originally ordered in mid February but was delayed to use GTM's new custom 11mm studs from ARP. I guess there was some initial confusion between my tuner and GTM as to what studs I wanted, but that wasn't brought to my attention by GTM until several weeks by after the build order had been placed. Sam strongly recommended their 11mm over the L-19s, because of potential corrosion issues with the L-19s. I do believe Sam was looking out for my best interest and only wanted to build a motor for me with the best chance of long term reliability and I appreciate his efforts.

I didn't want to mention the wait for the 11mm studs before GTM had introduced them, as a favor to Sam. He mentioned he was going to introduce them in a thread and that some "other" tuners would strongly disagree with his assessment of the L-19s.

I do believe the build could of been completed more quickly with better communication from GTM but I'm just happy it's finally complete and sitting at my tuner's shop waiting for installation. I'm sure the wait will be worth it for the quality of work GTM does. I'm just looking forward to a hopefully reliable and long FI experience, this time.

PM George or Sam@GTM for pricing or ask them in their 3.8L stroker thread where they mentioned them. Mine were included as part of a package deal in my build.

Once motor is built... I shouldn't have no worry about problems right ?
don't think for a second that you wouldn't have problems after building a motor. you have to keep it well maintained or you can blow it the 2nd time around.
