Default HKS EVC boost controller ?

"Boost pressure can be fine tuned for: Throttle Position, RPM, Vehicle Speed, Throttle Position + RPM, or Throttle Position + Vehicle Speed."

does this mean you can set your boost for certain speeds?

say if im going to the track and want more traction from 0-60 can i set the boost low and then after 60 go to a high setting?

anyone with this boost controller can you chime in?

does anyone use this setting on the controller?

shed some light please

also if you choose to use this setting would you have to tune for it? or could you just run your 14psi map and still run the boost pressure setting on the EVC even tho you are WOT at a lower boost?

im sorry if im not making sense. it makes sense in my head.
lol

Yes, those features work. As long as the tuner tunes it across all the various boost sites...which GTM would do for you, then no tuning adjustments would be needed. You would start tuning at wastegate pressure, and work your way up to the max.

That is correct. Verify with Sam, but for instance, if you base pressure is 12psi, and he tunes it up to 16psi on pump gas, then you can run anything between 12-16psi on pump, and be fine.

so if i plan to do a 10-12-16 psi maps..

i can run the 16 psi map and then set the boost at 10psi and work my way up to 16 via the EVC

i get it.. cool thanks for the clarification. just got to stay within the boost sites that have been tuned. and you can do whatever you want on the EVC.

seems like a pretty nice piece of equipment. another thing i wish i went with the first time around..lol

Well if you are getting the Fcon V Pro, all of those boost pressures will be tuned on one map, I tuned mine from base of 10 psi to 16 psi on the same map.

I also have one of those EVC's coming to try to the speed based boost to help with traction down low.

Kind of, the 32x32 resolution of the Fcon is what makes it possible to do the wide range of boost plus driveable. It si tuned from vacumm to boost. My Map is set from -11 psi to 19 psi and 0-8000 rpm, it is tuned from -11 psi to 15-16 psi
