Default Nitrous on a TN kit.

Has anyone attempted to add nitrous to a TN kit? I know that there aren't many of us with a TN kit and a built motor but just looking at options.

Yes, AJ has it on his car at PF right now, but they haven't run it at the track yet.

Jeremy and I discussed this in the process of planning my build. While it is tempting, the only reason I'd do it is if the turbo was maxed out (which it won't be in my case). I'm assuming if you ran this kit with the 60-1 and normal kit piping it would help make power on the top end and cool the intake charge.

Only problem is finding someone who actually knows how to tune it. So far, most of the shops I've talked to have been leary about mixing FI and N2O.... Jeremy is your best bet hands down.

Turbo and nitrous compliment each other nicely. Make sure to back a little timing out depending how much you plan on shooting to it.

I assume the OP is interested as he's got a built motor with the stage 1 kit which can only flow for a certain level of power with higher boost. You could set up the utec to control nitrous and tune when it's injecting the nitrous. One good thing about it is that it doesn't incerease the volume of air like adding boost, doesn't increase backpressuer, and cools the intake.

If you wanted more power and your turbo setup could put it out you can just turn up the boost. If not, nitrous would gain you more power on top of boost.

Yes I am interested . I have a built engine and my car will be shipped to Orlando in December. The first thing will be to get a tune and what ever tricks JT will do to max out what I got.

Oh, so you're going to regulate it injecting at lower boost levels like we were talking about? I'd like to see how that works. Maybe we'll have to try it on a built motor soon.

Why is that?

It's going to be a custom build. (turbo/piping/wastegate/etc/etc)

Is it a modification of the TN kit or a complete redo?

What are you going to waste your money on that can make the turbonetics kit better, and save you time and headache on in the end? Are you going to upgrade the 2'' exhaust piping to 2.5''? powerlab already did that, Are you going to upgrade your downpipe to 3''? powerlab already did that. are you going to get full 3'' intercooler piping and a 4'' thick intercooler core? powerlab already did that! Maybe your worried about overboost issue and you plan on running a 44mm wastegate? powerlab already did that. are you going to run a utec, 550s and maybe a watercooled turbo? guess who already did that.

I don't want your kit. I can build my own setup for a fraction of what it would cost me to buy yours. I'm not an average schmuck or "credit card racer" here to buy into hype.

Take it to your own thread, and while you're at it register your nick as a sponsor before you peddle your wares to me or assume you can lecture me about turbo kits.

Oh, and don't act like that ST kit is special. You know it's just a rebadged Injected Perf ST kit. Hopefully this one will actually get installed on more than 2 cars.

Ha, why's that because an intercooler pipe routes similarly? Since there's 500 ways to route intercooler piping in a Z logically, no kit should be similar to another?
