To tell you the truth...i have no idea. LOL. Once the design was pretty much completed, it had to go for manufacture. From what i was told, several operational prototypes would be tested for fit and quality control of which a final unit would be selected for production. The testing would be done on another Z being brought in from Dreamworkes which may have already occurred. From what I was told, my car would get a production unit and be submitted for CARB testing for 50-state legal status.

I have posted in a previous thread about this blower. I saw a preliminary computer design. The design is impressive and unique. The development was intended as less of an add-on and more of an integrated solution. There really was no "take generic eaton blower, slap on top, bolt on tight, and scratch head" intent. Most everything was done on computer beforehand with test pieces made for exact installation. These guys are really highend builders/engineers rather than weekend grease monkeys. They took their time without any pressure of getting to market cuz everyone else had products...their attitude was get it right the first time.

How the final product comes out is anybody's guess but in my meetings with these gentlemen, I haven't lost any sleep worrying about anything these past few months. They just ooze knowledge when i have spoken with them including real world experience in international rally, F1 and CART (all of which have been or are heavily forced induction oriented)...all the times i wished i could sit there and listen instead of having to haul my *** into work.

Is it going to come with EVERYTHING necessary to plug and play, including intercooler and some pretuned fuel map etc... for the unit? Or are we going to have to go out and buy an intercooler and everythign else making our price go from $4500 to $6000?

Too bad you guys aren't in the SF Bay Area. I'd consider doing it. Great looking unit. When can we expect a production version?

DreamWorkesRacing:

Those were the pics you sent me but if they are for real it might not work. The Throttle Body opening is on the wrong side, unless the kit moves it to the other side?

I guess you know something but not telling. I recieved the same photos from dreamworks and was ask not to release them. Then when i saw them i thought humm wrong side must be bs. But from the smile faces I guess they are relocating the throttle body and air filter to the other side. Will be interesting to see it on a car when its done

I thought the throttle body was on the wrong side as well, but I got to thinking maybe the air filter stays at the stock location then into the IC and out the other side comes up to the TB... just my reasoning..

It will be an air to water intercooler on that type of setup so I don't think that requires the movenment of any intake plumming.
Usually air to air intercooling requires that.

Sounds like good reasoning to me. My only question is will the rear part of the unit hit the firewall? Maybe my in head measurements are off but it just looks like the top part would come way back off the motor. Of course, I really doubt it would as I am sure DreamWorkes used a ruler and all, but it just looks that way in the pic.
