Your only going to be this young once. Later on in life you will have a lot of other expenses. I.E. ........kids, wife, house, etc. Do it know while you can.

the only thing that is keeping me from doing it is that i think it would be really great if i could buy my own place right out of college. and when one considers where the mortgage industry is headed with all these sub-prime lenders, its going to be harder and harder to get a loan.

get a house first
otherwise you're just setting yourself back like 5 years by the time you pay off the FI and are able to get a down payment for a house with a decent rate

pay off the FI? dude, if i do it, i would definitely pay cash for it and not go into debt over it. come to think of it, going into any debt to boost the Z is a pretty ill concieved idea. just my $.02

im thinking the APS kit. its the most complete kit i think, and it seems like you can run that at 8psi on a stock block with out problems. its a pricey kit though, it looks like the grand total, with install would come out at about $10

f1james don't go with a kit someone recommends. What ever somone has on their car is what they are going to recommend. If I were you I would ride in a couple of cars with different set ups and see which one you like then decide which one you want.

yeah, no offense to anyone, especially the turbonetics guys, but i knew it was a matter of time before people started coming on here and pushing a kit.

I regret it alot. I coulda bought a pretty nice car by now....rather than going F1 on something that wasnt meant to.

btw...how much would a stock engine cost if i wanted to go back to stock or if it blows?

well if you didnt have a Z yet you could have always bought one like i did that was already FI and let the person who spent all the money doing it take the hit and you just get to enjoy it.

I am with ya OP and other young bloods. I bought my condo at the age of 22. I am looking at starting up my business and getting on my feet before making the jump in the world of FI. I figure I would buy all the support mods, exhaust, utec, etc and then the big snail/snails.

Hell if I was still at my parents house I would have been FI a long time ago. Just would have had nothing to show of myself besides my car.

Working, going to school, owning a house and starting a business is enough right now All the local guys bust on me but One day I will be FI

And when I go FI I will prob. regret not going sooner.

Chris

Unless you're a millionaire, I think having a tad bit of regret after going FI is natural. But like everybody else has said, you only live once.
