Default Swapping APS Standard turbo Units

We r searching for turbos to upgrade the APS Turbo units with and we r considering the following options:

1- APS Extreme Turbo units.
2- Garrett GT2871R P/N:743347-1

Does any one know the flow rate of the APS Extreme turbos or have the turbo MAP?

Any help and support in here will be much appreciated.

I don't know the answer but I'm curious as well. What I'd like to know is where you plan to buy the parts? I emailed GRD (APS dealer) and they told me APS wouldn't sell any of the Extreme parts individually. I found that hard to believe to say the least. Then I asked about buying replacement exhaust manifolds (with the EWT flanges) and no response.

Do you plan on swapping manifolds as well? Cause the APS extreme turbos are externally gated as I'm sure you know. For that matter, just sell the standard kit and buy the Extreme, at least that seems to make the most sense to me.

I do know and than you for the advice but, i believe they use the same turbo outlet which means that the Extreme turbos can work with internal waste gates. i just need some of the more experience guys here in the forum to ether prove me wrong and ask me to shut my mouth or tell me i can do it.

APS doesnt share their compressor flow maps, but they claim 50 lb/min worth of airflow from each APS Extreme turbocharger.

you cannot use the Extreme turbos unless you change the turbine housings. i believe APS welds the puck shut for the Extreme kit, so an internal wastegate setup is not feasible. and why the hell would you want to run internal wastegates for a high boost setup.

see what i mean?

Thank you for the tip and the picture. as for the internal waste gate, we have few cars in the shop making up to 700 WHP on internal regulated turbos. Not VQ35 though. but that doesn't mean it is better than the external waste gate at all. it is just going to be very expansive to by the extreme turbos, Manifolds, Down Pipe, and Waste gate from APS.
