Thumbs down Closed threads

Mods....just a little gripe I have....

With all of the closed threads in the FI forum lately, could you at least say a little something before it's closed like you used to? Something like "this is why we're closing the thread....THREAD CLOSED"....or something along those lines. I was reading the "PF sets the bar" thread and got to the end of the last page and it was just closed out of nowhere. Nobody knows who closed it, or what the last "straw" was or anything. Just closed. I didn't even see a warning in that particular thread, unless I just missed it.

Personally, I don't see why that particular thread was closed in the first place. Unless arguing with other members is a "thread-closing offense" now and nobody told me. Nobody called anybody names, nobody threatened anybody. Just an explanation before closing the thread would be nice. That's all.

I agree. I think that thread should be cleaned up and re-opened. Not fair to the PF guys...

Yep +10000

The mods need to give warning before you close these threads, it a public forum (with rules of course), but closing these these threads witout warning is not fair to the OP or any shop in question or debate.

Mods its called freedom of speech, and I am sure not going over seas every six months to dodge bullets to see some computer dude that feels he has tolerated enough and closes a thread, without giving warning, that’s just plain weak and un American. Please all I ask is that you give warning so we can police our own before you go closing these threads.

I think all threads should immediately be closed upon creation in order to avoid potentially offending forum members.

not fair, i feel like we should take anything negative out of the threads and have a nice fun clean thread. i wish they would do that about a lot of threads.

i love this forum!! a lot of the FI threads get stupid though...

Wasn't me...I just came back on and saw it was locked. What happened? Harsh comments don't bother me since its just the internet.

I don't think you have the ability to lock your own thread, but as a PM you can delete it.

I think coach's thread got locked because of the slandering of PF and JT on Julian's part I agree that it should've been cleaned up and kept open, or at the VERY LEAST the mod in question could have posted his reason for locking it

Why do we have to get along?

I mean, aren't shops in COMPETITION with each other. Don't we COMPETE when we race each other?

I can't believe the thin skin around here!

I got into it with Alberto a while back but when he needed some advise I tried to help him out. I did this out of respect because I followed his and Jeremy's car as they progressed and they helped me become the best drive on these boards

Anyway, I hope y'all don't take offense but if i see you on the street or track I'm going to try to embarrass you

Whats wrong with people making asses out of themselves?

Right on-lol you have def put yourself on the map with that 11.2 run. You cant take things personally online, some people have bad days, thin skin, etc, etc. In person Ive never encounted one d!ckhead Z owner, Id buy anybody on these forums a beer(ask anybody that knows me)....nice mind set on that last part too, I try to embarrass other cars as well
