Hi Guys,

I bought the forge actuators for my car and when tuner cannot get more than 7psi out of them. It is the blue springs. I thought they were good for 14 - 18psi.
He had to fabricate new springs for the actuators to get that boost levels. Why would he only get 7psi max and also it drops to 3psi on throttle.
He is installing the new springs in actuators and hopefully this would solve the problem.

That spring rating sounds right.

with the car not holding bbost and dropping to 3 psi I suspect your tuner may not have put enough pre tension on the actuator arm.

fingers crossed that all works out.

 

Sounds like your tuner / installer doesn't know what they're doing - or they're just trying to get you for a few extra bucks. Either way, I'd get a second opinion...
