Default what headers with turbonetics?

from my understandment the alphawerks headers, and dc headers work with the kit. i wonder if the topspeed headers would work with this setup since the headers are so similar to eachother. are the alphawerks,dc and topspeed headers completly identical? if they are it would definetly work with the turbonetics.
the second question is would the turbonetics kit benefit from having higher flowing headers? or will it make it loose responsiveness? or will it giv u greater top end?

im asking this because im looking to max out my NA build before going turbo.
my mods are as follows. i hav 06 rev-up with revised engine.

ur pulley kit
mrev2+Spacer
random tech hi flows
xo2 exhaust
utec
looking for headers.

I've done it, and its not worth it. I switched back to stock manifolds asap. I'm still running stock manifolds on my built setup if that tells you much.

Headers wont help much at all. I had every NA mod there was and it didn't hit a lick at all. Wasted money, many lessons learned. One time at a dyno day, there were stock NA cars putting down 10+ more power than mine. Save the cash and spend elswhere. I'm just speaking for the headers only. The other mods can be very useful when FI. That's just part of do it right the first time.

OK im leaning towards keeping my stock manifold and getting my utec tuned. i rhode on a tn car with headers and it ran lovely... but i wonder if i will see any significant gain or response for my car since i got a rev-up. in the near future im looking foward for a single turbo build. i might of not posted on ur turbonetics thread taurran but i been following it very closely. someone here in nyc just got a shortblock done at vinny ten racing and he is also running the stock tn kit. im looking foward to see how much power he is going to be putting down at a decent ammount of psi. either the powerlab tuner kit or the Tn tuner kit im looking foward on getting. more the Tn kit if they were to improve their piping in their new update they doing to their kits. there isnt a single turbo kit that bolts right on onto the 06s revups.

i dont think it will be worth it. i dont know the exact price, but im guessing they probably cost upwards of $600, im taking my car on the FI route at present, and i can promise you your hard earned dollar will definitely be better spent elsewhere.

did you go back to stock because you lost power, or because it gave no real benfit?

No, it may have gained a SLIGHT amount of power on the top end. But for whatever small amount it did, it certainly wasn't worth the rubbing issues and the 500rpms or so of delayed spool. The car just runs a lot smoother without them.

No, tuning will not help exhaust gas flow, bottlenecks, or physical contact between the headers and piping.

I used DC sports headers, which are the same design as Alphawerks, Nismo, etc. If people say the others work, they're just being optimistic and living with modifying the downpipe, slower spool, and noise.

Default Headers/Turbonetics

Dont know how much this helps, but just had Turbonetics installed on 03 G35 Auto Sedan. I had DC Sports Headers and Stillen hi flo cats with Borla exhaust prior to install. I went with turbonetics so I could retain headers, but they were a pain to work around and had to fab downpipe. If I had to do over I would have just kept stock exhaust manifolds...would have made install much easier and less $. I cant say how much the headers helped as I dont have before and after. I also had to lose the hi-flo cats and part of exhaust....live and learn. I should have started my mods "with the end in mind", but was'n t planning on going FI. I would definitely do it all over again and love the low/mid power of the turbo and the car looks totally stock (guages installed in dash with lid...I just would not have done the headers ($475 plus $400 install) and done without the stillen cats ($525).

Pre turbo dyno'd at 225 whp / 217 tq and then 342 whp / 352 tq after turbo.

I was going to go with a vortech but heard too many guys say if they were to do it over again they would have spent the extra ($1500-2000) and gone with Single Turbo....glad I did as I have also owned SC car and prefer turbo.

i just dont see a point in spending $$ and the hassle to put it in, just for delayed spool.

$$+no knuckles+delayed spool<stock
