Great job guys...that is some impressive driving too!

The supras have been doing it longer, since it's a lot more straightfoward to slap a large single turbo on a Supra, vs. all the customization that is required on the 350Z. With enough money, the 350Z should be just as fast, if not faster.

IP is almost in the 8's without even running their max, and just feeling out the car. Hats off.

There are Supras in the 7s, but they have an easier setup to make power with and have been at it for how many years now? I do not mean to make this into a 350Z vs Supra thread though, as we have a couple Supra/2JZ shop cars that both run 9s and have easy 8 second potential if we only had a little free time.

"Race weight" is nothing spectacular, between 3100 and 3200. We did not strip this car out, it still has interior, heater core, blower, etc. We are putting a Haltech dash in the center console, so that is being reconfigured. The biggest weight savings we have noted is removing the heavy stock exhaust and switching to drag wheels.

That is very impressive. Next time out you guys will probabaly hit the 8's from the look of it and then who knows from there? Who was driving you or Greg? Whoever was driving was driving the sh*t out of that thing. Looked a little scary!

Hal@IP....Any chance of you guys bringing that Z down to Florida for a day at the track @ Bradenton in November. I'm sure we can get some travel money together for you.. What do you think???

Probably be a lot of fast Supras running that day and it would be great to see the Z represent well...

Hal gets all the credit for the driving. He has been racing longer so I let him get behind the wheel for right now. I did get to drive the rig for 40 hours so far (only 11 hours to go)

Hour number 19 of driving...Hour number 29 of no sleep.

Injected Performance...Good thing you were able to get your Z certified at the Phoenix event. Woon is on the Supras most wanted list..I heard a lot of shops drove thousands of miles(i.e Boost Logic, etc.) and had to put their cars back in the trailers.

Interesting...no replies to my posts from IP. Hope your not upset with my 9.2 prediction...I've been drag racing since the late 70's and have put down many 8 sec passes and just have a good feel for what cars can do. Under no means am I disrespecting your accomplishments in your Z or your shop. Its just nice to see and talk to guys that really drag race.....Oh Well

That was not intentional, and you were right on with the prediction, I'm upset in now way

What event in FL, and what are the dates? Things are busy at the shop, but the rig always needs to stretch it's legs. The Z will be at SEMA for the beginning of November.
