asking about camshafts and 'other things'... don't tell me the parts aren't in there that you thought were.

Out of curiosity, what ballpark did you pay for this rebuild?

the used cams I bought were advertised as S2 cams from Scott. I asked Mark to install the cams while my motor was apart.

The motor was delivered with a receipt saying S1 cams not S2 which was confirmed by Mark as being S1's not S2's.

I know it's not a big deal since S1 and S2 cams are not that different, but I thought I was paying for S2 cams.

The cams were taken off and measured and they were off from JWT specs according to jim wolf.

I didn't want anymore confusion if they were authentic or not so I just purchased a brand new set of S2 cams from JWT.

The other things were about why Mark sent back a motor with such high leakdown #'s, cams w/o the proper clearance twice, what could be the cause and maybe find a simple fix.

I guess I was that one bad engine.

to bore a used short block, replace 2 cracked forged pistons, new piston rings and install used cams $1830.

He did the assembly and disassembly for free because we thought it was a HG issue. Once we found out it wasn't he did the above work.

Well, I'm truly sorry to hear that. I am not Mark so I can't answer for why that happened, I just am glad to hear that your motor build is going better now. I hope Mark did his part to rectify the situation. But on a lighter note, the s2 cams you ordered from JWT, how did the box look that they came in!???

I know your not Mark there are people who think I'm not telling the full story so for those people that don't believe me call Pz.

I'm only stating what Pz is saying and what they have showed me personally with video to back it up.

The issue is what he did with my motor recently while at Pz from Nov to Jan not when he built it for VRT back in Aug.

Mark just refunded my money when told by PZ that what ever they find wrong when they tear down the engine he would pay for.

The money refunded went towards my engine build.

I don't know the cams went straight to Pz. I know they were wrapped pretty good from what they told me!!

Mr A was driving a benz when I picked up my car from VRT in Sept. I didn't look too see if it was S55 or not.

I wouldn't doubt it if it was him.

I take it you are the cam wrapper for JWT? Good job!! PZ told me there was no way they could of gotten damaged during shipping.

I'm the Shipper, and of course not (never had a damaged product all my shipping years!), I just like to pat my own back sometimes!

So you are THE JWT cam wrapper? Dude...you rock. The cams arrive in such a fashion, that they look like ancient Egyptian mummies........not chance of breakage there!

Dont you guys find hilarious that all this guys from San Diego on the forum like tHeNiGhTwInD in the past have acted like customers posting fake praises on RA threads and all the sudden they either worked from VRT before, or work for RA, or JWT, or happen to be a relative?????
