Details would nice and helpful. With some of the experiences with a lot of members here with F/I, this thread is sub-par.

Long sotry short,

I had a bad ECU and Nissan replaced it with an OEM ECU. I called up Reggie and he told me to just send it in to reflash, I asked him how much it was going to cost and he told me not to worry about it.

I haven't had that level of customer service in quite a long time.

You mean aside from labor, cost of the equipment to flash, etc no it doesn't cost them anything besides all that. Either way the guy got good service.

Cost of the equipment is a sunk cost and is basically taken out of the equation. Labor is expensive, but really, how long does it take to reflash an ECU.. maybe 5 minutes?

So let's assume $100/hr labor. So 5 minutes of labor = $8.34. I bet it cost more in terms of labor to package it and resend

All in all, he got a $8.34 freebie. But none-the-less a props on putting a smile on a customer's face!

Maybe I'll call them and they can remove the speed limiter I had removed by Techno prior to sending it to them. They claim they dont alter this at all, but thats not true-surprised more people havent had this issue.

Actually it takes just under a half hour to load the flash.

If nothing else it saved the guy at least $300. I will also step up and say all I did is shoot Reggie an email and I received an return # to get the updated water cooled turbo....n/c....and I am having no problems with the turbo I have now. Alot of people treat TN like the ugly step child. It is the best purchase I have made for my car. Thanks Turbonetics!
