Default turbonetics install questions

i'm having a turbonetics turbo installed next week. my question is will they have to take off the headers and hiflo cats and reinstall the old parts? i know that i will lose the nismo cai but the headers took 9 hours to install plus the sound now is like an f1 car i love it. the place where the install is being done is a full on race and performance shop and they say that i will only lose the cai. i would likle to hear if anyone has done this install with a similar setup. thanks......bigbudd... ps i'm also installing a utec xs computer

Why dont you try going to the TN site and READING the install directions?

I know, thats too hard for some....btw you dont have to post this same question in multiple forums-thats a good way for people not to help you.

The headers stay. The rest of the stuff you mentioned goes.

Good luck.

Or go to www.turboneticsownersclub.com where the instructions are actually downloadable or viewable on the site. There's even some threads that have some good tips in there on the install already.

You may have fitment issues with the headers, from what I've heard. Search around. The FI forum is more than what's on the first page, ya know.

the TN kit works best with the stock headers. You will have a slower spool with aftermarket headers,a nd you won't make any more power!

It has been proven a few times on here before!!!

9 hours to install headers!!! I think the whole TN kit takes less to install than your headers.

Uninstalling the TN kit takes about 3 hours.

we usually remove headers due to fitment issues that we have ran across a couple times with the TN kit...

good luck and make sure you get it tuned at a reputable shop..

Yep, I think I started a trend in that club. They all talk and hate but still want to be just like me.

I'm going to say this as I've said many times before on this forum... get rid of the headers and go with stock manifolds. You will love driving the car much more. The downsides *far* outweigh any gains.
