Group Buy ATI Procharger for 350z
Jesse,
Thanks for organizing this. I know some people think there is always a hidden agenda, but I think it's great that some people will try to help everyone save a little money.
Unfortunately, I've looked at my finances and the time frame of this group buy and I probably will have to pass. If it were the end of July instead of June, I may be able to swing it.
But I've recently paid for iForged wheels, Borla Exhaust, and a Nismo kit... play money is tight for a few weeks.
Also, i really would like some real world reviews of this kit and the GReddy TT before I buy. I'm certain it will come down to one of the two for me. Right not the Procharger has the edge because it is available.

OK, I emptied out my inbox, that was weird though because it only said 53% full, anyways, jritoli you've got PM.
I don't expect anyone to thank me for this, I just don't need the drama people are throwing my way.
I hope that this works out well for everyone involved and we get some supercharged Z's built that can blow the doors off of an LS1 and all these little ricers.

hey mcduck,i'm in the same "boat.I just purchased stillen's full catback, blitz intake, and a custom 12"sub.My funds are low,but not for long.if its possible I'd do it next month also, but purchasing now is a good idea if we have 5or more people.I'm willing to jump the gun to save some $$$.Of course the tt will have more hp.but a pain to instal/uninstall(exhaust,electronic gizmos, timr, boost contr. I like this system cause it's simple&reliable, worth the $,big hp,quieter than a "blow off"valve
This weekend I was in Downey,Ca getting my FLTA2's(JIC-magic Coilovers) adjusted when out of nowhere pulls up the USDM JIC drift Z! I could here the whine when it pulled up. The Driver named Jon asked me if I wanted a ride and I said hell ya!!! Let me just say: Holy @#!@$%!!!I could not believe how fast it was. He took me out on to Woodruff and we did not get traction until fourth gear, we kept bouncing off the rev limiter. Dangerous really... the Downey Police caught up with us after our little drive and gave us a hard time but didn't ticket the driver. It was incredibly fast! We had to be going 100 mph. He said it has 370 whp and has been driving it hard for the last 5000 miles without any problems. No internal modifications. It had JIC FLTA2's with 22kg/mm spring front and rear, stock clutch and flywheel which he said was good up to 450 horsepower. It felt pretty solid, no wierd noises or anything. My Z with a JUN Flywheel and Injen exhaust felt like a slug. The only thing I noticed was the grind in third gear but guys with stock Z's have that problem...he had another transmission on its way. Jon told me if a group of guys wanted to check it out in the LA area he would be more than happy to show it. He also talked about a group buy but, I don't want to step on anyone's toes. Anyway, I'm too busy to field a crap load of e-mails so if you are serious about buying the procharger which I would highly suggest, give Jon a call at Ziel Motorsports in Downey,Ca. he gave me his e-mail but I don't think I should give that out just yet. Tell him Adam sent you. He might hook us all up.

I'm interested, I need to keep all the WRX STI's & EVO's honest over here!!!
This S/C Kit from ATI sounds just what the doctor ordered, my question is will your supplier ship direct to Melbourne Australia door to door. The the kit looks like all the bolt-on bits will fit our aussie spec cars ie: left hand drive, but will the fuel management sytem wiring setup fit?? our battery is located on the opposite side to yours so I'm thinking our wiring harness will be like the Japanese cars.
Regards
David

Linh811 jewellz,
You have PM's
STRETCH,
You're not stepping on anyones toes, if you can get a better price together, by all means try. Although I seriously doubt that's possible since this group buy is probably cheaper than he can get them for. It's below dealer cost.
ZZZ-35,
I don't see why it wouldn't fit because the only real part of it that is electronic is the EFMU and fuel pump. The EFMU really can be placed most anywhere, it will probably work fine because all of the SC equipment is located on the drivers side of the car. The SC's are drop shipped direct from ATI so the shipping price I quote you is going to be different because you're not within the lower 48 states. Oh and you've got a PM.

Make sure you get some vids of the Z killing some cars en Santo Domingo when you get the SC.
OK everyone, please PM me first, I don't know who I've PM'd and who I haven't If I have a PM in my inbox I will respond to it. There's just too many for my feeble mind to remember.

The SC whine is minimal. It just sounded different and thats why I mentioned it. Inside the car I was too busy listening to the tires go up in smoke to hear the whine. I don't know if its smog legal.

2. Let me post the best info I have on Smog legal status of ATI SC in California. I called ATI directly in May, they told me that several of their other SC's for other cars are smog legal in 50 states and that they were going to get it for Calif too. She said they were hoping to get it smog legal by Jan 1st approximately and that the process took a long time. I do not know how accurate that info is so if anyone has better info, pls post. I got this info from the Lady that answered the phone. I have her name at home but unfortunatly I am in Asia until Aug 20th thus I cannot refer to those notes. Maybe someone here call call ATI again that is living within the USA to get an update.
