It involves removing half of the alan screws out. I think it's every other alan screw.

It's not that hard really. Minutes after buying the overpriced purple fin, I swapped out the original silver to it in a matter of minutes, however my BOV was easily accessible (right next to the MAF sensor), so that was a major dependency of labor time.

my 300zx has two ssqv and I don't think it has any inserts but it sounds really nice. It's just a loud wooosh sound but not annoying.

 

It's all good hes just mad because I made more power on pump.

 

I tried all three on my car for fun.

I have three SSQV's because I started with one on the IC outlet and was having some turbo surge issues so I added two more on each pre-IC pipe.

The gold is quite a bit more high pitch. I like the round purple one the best.
