trying to figure out why i have 85PSI of fuel pressure at idle....FPR will not adjust it period up or down...
Return line has no kinks....no trash....
pump atleast sounds normal...
RC440cc injectors with AAM return fuel system...
When reving engine from idle the pressure does drop a few psi's
almost sounds like pump to me...
I took the FPR apart and the diaphram looks perfect and feels good...no hole either
Any ideas? Grounding? weak voltage going to pump somehow?
And also I cannot boost over 2 lbs (well i could but when you are seeing 14's on the AFR gauge you just wanna cut the car off.)

just wondering how exactly would one take a $hit? not hardly anything at all that is involved with one mechanically...aside from diaphram or spring messing up...the spring in that thing is almost like a freakin valve spring! guess ill just spend the money on the pump and hope thats it

edit: better yet... connect a -6 hose to the outlet of your regulator and run it into a bucket. start the car. if your pressure dropped you will know if its your regulator or if your return is restricted. if the pressure is still uncontrollable then its the regulator. if the pressure is back under control than your return is messed up. either too small hose, kinked, or your return correction setup is wack.

ok so did all that...nothing...bought a new regulator...same thing...tested lines...same thing...cept THIS time...i get a myrid of OBDII codes and the car at idle will go extremely lean and almost cut off...lean as in in the low 20's...
the codes are:
P0171 Fuel System Lean, Bank 1
P0223 Throttle Position Sensor
P0122 TP Sensor
P2135 Throttle Position Sensor
so thats what is new... You think reseting the TPS will resolve this or no?
still shouldnt have anything to do with my fuel pressure being sky high
and not being able to adjust it

are you saying that you ran your return line straight from the regulator into a bucket and the pressure did not change?
Is your gauge in the regulator?
Post a picture of your setup in the engine bay.

the guy that did it is a complete DA!!! he did NOT use the RETURN line! WTF I just went out there and did it myself and the pressure dropped...i didnt have a line so i just unhooked it from the tank...so i know the problem now lies somewhere in the tank!!! SOrry guys for all of the confusion! I knew I should have did this myself
So the saying holds true then: if you want something done right, do it yourself
Glad to hear you have some progress. So you unhooked the return line from the tank, and then the pressure dropped when you ran it? Hmmmmm..

ok question...so I dont think its the inline filter...the braided hose that goes from the top of the assembly to the bottom in the return line...about 7 inches long...I cannot blow air through this line...my question is...is it possible that this line is too small??? and could I use a bigger line instead??? seeing as how air wont even blow through this must be my restriction causing the high pressure
