Thanks Hal @ Injected Performance
Ok, so I just installed a VQ35DE engine into my 95 240sx. I had many choices for engine management, so I chose the Haltech Platinum plug and play for the 350z using the stock wiring harness. I bought the unit from Injected Performance and Hal took the time and effort to research the differences, seeing as I do not have the stock ECU, under dash wiring harness or any of the brazzilian modules. He made the necessary changes to the pullups and off we went.
As soon as the ignition wiring was properly connected (me=stupid) the car fired right up and idled smooth. It idled smooth all the way up to normal running temperature using the base map Hal so graciously supplied. It was amazing how well it works. I haven’t driven it yet due to having to finish many many little things on the car. There is nothing bolt-on on this engine swap other than the ECU, which is normally the most difficult part.
Thanks again Hal. I cant wait to see you guys from Injected Performance at Moroso in April.
Hal puts the Hal in Haltech...............

Glad we could help get your car up and running, I am still waiting on those open-header videos
Look forward to seeing your car out this year, see you in FL!
Anyone else interested in doing a VQ35 swap, the ground work is done.

The guy is cool, he built this oval for some unknown reason and lets us organize events for nothing, we only have to tell him first.
Im a little disappointed about the part of the vid where my buddy Matt from Import Intelligence is filming from behind me. The run was very sucky. My favorite part is the run just after he zooms into my face.....listen to the engine scream man, its awesome sounding. AGAIN, I love this engine.
I need to take some finished pictures of the car, it has a Mishimoto Carbon Fiber Intake on it now for the 350z, its very nice. I am also running thier radiator.....sponsors orders.

Awsome swap! 2 qeustions how did you get around the drive by wire and how did you get around the coded key? I'm thinking about a VQ swap and these are 2 issues I'm thinking about. I remember meeting Matt from Import intelligence at the VERY first import Carlise WAY back in the day. 240sx FTW

1. Pic a throttlebody with a throttle position sensor that ranges from 0-5 volts (most are, I chose a Honda TP and TPS)
2. Call Hal at Injected Performance and buy the Haltech Platinum plug-and-play for the 350z. Tell him what you are doing and he will take care of the rest. Connect the harness power and ground, make sure your coilpacks are plugged in correctly

Going to compete in the first NOPI Drift event of the year this weekend in West Palm Beach, FL. Cannot wait for the heat, see, Im an Atlanta boy that moved to Philly, and its cold up here.
My favorite pic of the day, not much angle, but the shot is awesome.

The KA TPS will work fine. I chose a 70mm Skunk2 throttlebody, the KA one is smaller. I went larger because the engine is larger.
