Default Tuning dilemma looking for opinions.....

Im driving down to caifornia for a wedding/vacation in april. My problem is I can drive the car down to gtm and utec tune on 91. Or i can trailer the car with a full tank of 94 octane local canadian. It seems like a slam dunk to trailer it down for max power/ consistency, but thats 1100 miles trailering my car as well as parking at the hotel for a trailer/g35/f150. If I drive down I could get a more agressive tune on 91 and hope for the best. Should I really be too concerned about onctane tunes? It would be so much easier to drive down in the g, but I dont want to regret anything.

I would drive down and run a 91 mixed with say 100 octane to get to 94 or slightly less for the tuning. That way you know its safe. Talk to Sam Im sure he has dealt with that sort of thing before.

Why not have him tune for 91 then when you put your local 94 in, it will be a bit safer

I would just take some 94 octane gas with me or do as suggested by Alberto and mix 91 and 100 octane.

Well taking down 94 is not an option because i have no room for jerry cans, and there is also the dangerous good issues at the border. I suppose combining 50% 91 and 50% 100 would net close to 95, but how hard is it to find 100 close to anahiem?

Thanks.

Dont forget the tune may be off due to major humidity and altitude diffrences from Van to Cali.
