I had recently gotten a new tune, which I believe was the cause of the failure. The tuner, tuned my car at 12:1, which he claimed was safe on a surperchaged Z. Going against my instincts and blindly following the tuners suggestions, I let him tune it to his whim. Sadly, another member who had his procharger tuned by the same person, just recently his blew motor too. Thankfully the tuner is no longer in the modification business.

Lesson learned, make sure you make the extra effort to get a great tune. If you have to drive for 10 hours to go to a reputable shop with lots of experience, DO IT. Also pay the extra money for a good EMS, quality fuel components, reliability and driveability depend on it. In the end, you got to pay to play and I am about to pay up.

Engine and turbo is all in. We re-did all of the hardware, oil lines, vaccum lines, heat wrap..replaced a cracked turbo manifold..and basically rejuvinated this used Greddy TT setup. Probably fire it up next week, as we are getting ready for this weekend's open house. THANKS!
