The real advantage to using washer fluid for me has nothing to do with cost.. It's only needing on reservoir since space is so tight.. I don't want to lose my wipers either.

I went to Walmart today and basically the most abundant washer fluid I could find was Peak -20 degree. I don't know what this would equate to but my calculations based on what I have heard is that if -35 degree has about 35-40% methanol then -20 degree should have say 20% methanol. So 128 ounces in a gallon then 20% would equal 25.6 ounces of methanol per gallon. If I take out 24 ounces of washer fluid I would be taking out approx. 5.2 ounces of methanol leaving me with 20.4 ounces of methanol in a gallon jug with 24 ounces missing. I then add two 12 ounce bottles of HEET which is 99% methanol which makes my total methanol a 44 ounces of methanol per 128 ounces or per gallon. I divide 44 by 128 and it gives me 34.6% percent methanol per gallon. Now I take out the fact that methanol weighs a little less then water and it should fall somewhere between a 30-35% methanol mixture. The cost involved. 1 gallon of Peak 20% Washer fluid $1.69 + 2 bottles of HEET @ $1.28 = $2.56 + $1.69 = $4.25 per gallon for a 30-35% mixture. I figure I will have my car tuned with this and I will always be able to buy 20% washer fluid and HEET from Walmart and just mix the same ratio every time. Seems like the cost and bang for the buck factor makes sense, what do you guys think? Plus I could spray this on my windows and even be ok if I ever decide to take my Z to the North Pole

Just watch out since Walmart sometimes do have a sale on Heet so once you see them just load up Like I said before, the consistency of your mix is more important. If you are tuned for 35% meth then make sure you always have that mix.

Windshield washer reservior and Boost Juice FTMFW! I've been using this combo for a few months now and it works perfectly. I don't use the Boost Juice on my windshield because I don't want to waste it so I can't comment if it leaves streaks or not.

Can you do us a favor and try once just to see if it leaves streaks or has any adverse effects to your windshield? Also, how often do you refill your washer reservor in relationship to tanks of gas? I'm trying to figure out if I should use washer fluid with Heet added or just order the Boost Juice from Snow Performance. Thanks in adavance.
