smaller pulley, if you have the stock 3.33, that thing is garbage. get some deatchwerks 600cc injectors, 2.87 pulley, fuel pump and a utec. get a GOOD tune and you'll be around 400 to 420whp with your current mods.

You don't need 600cc injectors for that, or a fuel pump. Stock injectors are good to make at tops 440whp. 600cc injectors are overkill in anybody's book.

I have the Detschworks 600s and they idle like stock and run perfect. I had an issue with restarting the car while hot that required me to blip the throttle on start up but now after a week the utec has figured things out and now it even starts like a stock car too.

I couldn't have said it better myself. This setup will get you some nice numbers without worrying about maxxing out your stock injectors. A good tune is the key however. Make sure to find someone that knows what they are doing.

I have always tried to go as small as possible on injectors to avoid starting and idling issues. I would say get some RC 440's and a walboro fuel pump. If your really wanting to go for the gusto you COULD get the 2.62 pulley. That would get you around 14 psi. I am not saying this is safe, but i did it on my maxima for about a year. Also you may want to look into getting a electronic exhaust cuttout.

I have 550cc DW injectors and have absolutely no idling or starting issues.

Thanks for the input guys, so basically are you guys saying the vortech fuel system is garbage and to get more power I have to go with a bigger fuel pump and injectors, or can I add larger injectors on the vortech FMU, and a larger pulley and just get a good managment system and a tune?

When I had my Vortech I was putting down just over 420 whp and 340 lb ft.
with the stock injectors and just running the Vortech fuel system. Car ran great for about 2.5 yrs with ZERO problems. But I was running cams with the stock pulley (3.33) and wasn't relying on more/quicker boost for my power.

I think the arguements about being safe with your fuel system if you're gonna go to the 2.87 pulley are quite valid. You want to make sure you're getting enough fuel in there to keep things nice and cool.

420whp on just cams and the stock 3.33 pulley ???

Wow...new record !!!!

normally it takes the 2.87 pulley and at least 11-12psi , even with cams .

Some ppl run the upgraded 380 injectors because they are cheap and readily avaliable from ppl who upgrade the turbonectics kit, they are also plug and play. Come to think of it, i have a set that have less than 6 months driving on them sitting at gtm. Pm me if your interested.
