Default Vortech Kit for NON REVUP

Hey Guys,

I searched before I asked and I know its been asked I just couldn't find the thread.

I have the opportunity to get a Vortech for non revup. I am wondering how much will I need to spend with vortech to make it fit my 06 revup.

Thanks for your advice

At a minimum the mounting bracket is different. Good luck finding one other than from Vortech which will probably run $400+.

Rev-Up kit has a different pulley. It comes with the 3.12 instead of the 3.33. Are you planning on using a UTEC or Haltech EMS? The Split Second box on the non-Rev-Up will not work on the '06 ECU (or so I have been told). The FMU may not be sufficient, either.

All told, you might be better off getting a tuner kit for an '06 then adding the fuel pump, injectors, and UTEC rather than buying a new bracket, pulley, and FMU/EMS system for an earlier Vortech.

Yes, I think you're right. It's a shame too, since a tuner kit with all of the right equipment and tuned carefully would be just as 'clean' as Vortech's setup and probably more powerful.
Isn't there a waiver program where you can get a custom set-up tested and CARB certified? If so, that would almost certainly be more expensive and bothersome than going with the standard kit.

Good luck.
