Nice kit! Good idea on the conservative boost, you just never know how much a stock block will take since they all react differently.

Congrats on the boost!

Oh your going to build the motor, thats cool. Im not saying u should put more power out, i understand your want of relability, im just saying your spent sooo much more money then u had too. But u will use it later, thats cool.

I run a stock APS twin turbo kit, with cats and APS exhaust. Sooo reliable. Drives like stock. I understand, u can always chase a few more HP but i rather beat the crap out of a stock kit and feel safe doing so. Torque is what kills rods, keep it boosting a little late (cats, small downpipe) and its sweet.

Since the turbo is in the same place as the turbonetics kit, will the powerlab have the high intake temp issues the turbonetics kit does?

NO, mrc has a thread showing their findings on the kit from their first install.

Congrats on the build! Looks like a fun, reliable combination! How is the drivability? I got mine on today, and I honestly can't tell the difference between the ProEFI and the stock ECU, other than more throttle response, and it feels better up top. Then again, my car is still otherwise stock!

+1 They heatwrapped the pipes and i have a turbo blanket as well. That area is cool until it sits still and the heat has a chance to start radiating and soaking into other things...but that is a 5-10 minute process. Otherwise the intake pipe and whole area around the turbo is almost ambient temp.

in regards to the temp. I would recommend coating the exhaust housing and the up pipes, and the down pipes, it costs extra but well worth it, and the engine bay looks cleaner.
