Default EVC VI manual

Anybody have a copy of it they can send me? I'm having some problems with mine not holding boost since I unplugged the battery over night to install a dam WOT box that did even work!

You have to reset the unit and do the calibration, its a pain, but if you do it correctly the unit works perfectly.

If you don't do it correctly, it wont work properly though.

Hi George,

Can you elaborate on what's involved in recalibration procedure? Maybe I'm not doing it correctly either.. I followed the manual, but it's not holding boost either.. When I reset it, I simple go through the first 3-4 steps..
1. select the wastegate type
2. select my desired boost.
3. Test run my car to record the spring pressure base boost.
4. Set the offset.
5. Adjust gain %.

From the initial setup mode:
1. Pressure Unit of Measure
A. Turn the volume **** to select kPa, or PSI
B. Press the volume **** to set.

2. Wastegate Type
A. Turn the volume **** to select S for swing valve, or internal wastegate, or P for Popet, or external wastegate.
B. Press the volume **** to set.

3. Maximum Wastegate Spring Boost Pressure
A. Make a full throttle pull on the dyno. The maximum wastegate spring boost pressure will be recorded. If this is known already, it may be input by turning the volume ****.
B. Press the volume **** to set.

4. Target Boost Setting
A. Turn the volume **** to select a boost setting above the maximum wastegate spring boost setting.
B. Press the volume **** to set.

5. Boost Calibration Coefficient
A. Make another pull on the dyno and observe the peak boost shown on the EVC.
B. If the peak boost does not match the target boost setting, adjust the coefficient by turning the volume ****.
C. Make another pull on the dyno and adjust the coefficient until the boost pressures match, or are very close.
D. Press the volume **** to set.

Thanks WP.

I've tried changing the offset and adjusted things on it so I'd like to to do this from scratch. Is there a way I can reset it w/o unplugging the batt? I hate programing my damned radio! lol

What gear are you doing the test pulls in when calibrating the unit?

That didn't work. I found out how.

***Push the bottom button 3 or 4 times until it says AS7 "NO"
Hold the **** down till it blinks
Turn **** to "YES"
Press *******

I got the US version of the EVC 6 manual if anyone wants it. Shoot me a pm w/ your email and I'll send it to you.

I'm the same problem again so I'm gonna try to reset it again tomorrow and see if it fixes it.
