about time, but honestly whats the deal, you dump alot of money into your car. Does Perf nissan really pay you that well or do you live at home or something. I am just curious how members dump so much money into their cars. please dont tell me you have sponsors..... i cant stand when people say that. nothing is free.

I don't really spend that much money on my car and I don't know what to say because I do have sponsors.

you are probably right, since I do not work in the industry. But I have built more show cars and owned more cars that you have ever had and they where all paid from my pocket. So please spare me the insult, you dont know me or know about my past. What where you doing in the 90s? did you even know what a show car was? I have had sponsors but since I was never "cool" and worked for a manufacture/distributor I never really got those crazy free sponsors. Just cost and such.

Andy to me new paint, full TT set up, new wheels, full kit is alot of money easy over $15k. that is what I was referring too. but if you do have sponsors good for you, I was mearly asking a question. I didnt care for your car with the old set up (stickers). This new color and set up is one of the nicest so far. Good luck on your build.

 

Yea, I'm sure the perception of what people think of me is that I spent a lot of money into this car which is not the case. I don't build my car to impress the people on this forum but to keep my sponsors happy. Obviously, it is apparent that companies and manufacturer's see value in what I do and like my execution in building cars. Thanks for the comment but I think you will probably be disappointed once you see everything done cause it will be all stickered out again, actually, it already is, LOL!

Have you ever even seen Andy's car before? Do you think he likes decking his car out with decals of manufactures?

You don't know about "crazy free sponsors" because you haven't built a nice enough car to get "free" parts. Get a magazine feature or even attend larger shows, it's all about marketing.

Just from knowing Andy these past years... he is smart when it comes to his networking & marketing abilities. The people he meets along the way is his ticket to enjoy the many parts that many of us would deem 'unattainable.' Big props on doing that. Since he is in 'industry', it comes down to business sense and advertising. What can he do for someone else... Cover on mags that get 200k+ issue circulation? thats way better (and cheaper) investment for a sponsor than perhaps constant advertising...

 

 

i don't care for sponsored cars either.. you can't daily drive your car the way you want.. and you have to devote time to where your sponsors want you to be.. even if the sponsors bought the car and asked me to drive it to events i couldn't see myself using up my weekend to go show a car at some meet.. much less my personal car

 

^^ Me neither. No sticker touches my car, and I turned down the carsponsorships.com sponsorship...
