hey guys searched around, any hear of procharger kits not being able to pass inspection, i am in ny state and i have never heard of this until now, and just wanna be sure there is no problem, i am going to call tomorrow to find out, but just wondering if anyone has ran into the problem.

 

It totally depends on what u install along with the kit. As long as you have HFC's And aren't running pig rich when tuned i would think you'd be fine. This is why all the Cali folks don't get harrased so much by Johnny Law.

 

It's not carb legal in any states. If it's tune right it will pass the sniffer but it wont pass visual inspection.

 

just wondering why i would need high flow cats, wouldn't a good tune just be fine. I am getting high flows, but just wondering why they would make a difference, i am not worried about the visual part, but i thas to pass the stupid computer diagnosis. what would it have to pass on the computer? i don't get it, how would it know if the kit was carb legal or not. I just called procharger and they couldn't give me a good answer, the lady said as of now it is not guaranteed to pass or something, and they are working it out with ny state, i don't get it. it was a lady who had no idea what was going on so i couldn't get any good answers. basically i need to hear from someone in ny with the kit installed and car inspected and hear how they went about it.
