Thumbs up Switched to Greddy!

I was at a lull all last season, with my Z running the TN setup and just needed something new. So I figured that I would post up my 2008 (money pit ) FI’d Z results. Over this past winter I decided to take out my TN kit and go for more power. So after day dreaming up all of these “crazy” single turbo plans (which consisted of me completely removing my AC!!), I went with the Greddy, and re-installed my AC!!.

I installed the kit over the course of the winter. I am no baller by no means so building the block was not and option for me this year. So my goal would be to push the VQ DE on the stock bottom end.

I also decided to sell my UTEC and go with the Haltech, which @ this point I love!! I also upgraded the stock radiator to an AMS radiator and a nismo thermostat. For the exhaust I went with SGP 3” Down pipes and WG relocation hooked up into the APS 3”. I also purchased all black silicone adapters for looks, so if anyone wants to purchase all those blue Greddy ones let me know!! Another Cosmetic Upgrade I did was a vented hood. The heat flows out of the holes in the Asuka hood but haven’t noticed any real differences. The Greddy kit actually gets so hot that I can smell the hood lol.

I dynoed @ 330 on waste springs, drove around like that for a while until I got the GM solenoid working correctly with the Haltech. So the final number ended up being….

423/398 @ 10 psi.

Thinking about going back to the dyno with a 12-13 psi map before snow flies.

Here are some pics of her up and running.

If I could ever do it again I would definitely pull the motor!!

Forgot to add I polished the turbos just because!! By hand to0

I am satisfied with the results of the car so far. I’m very happy with upgrade and the Z’s makeover this year. This winter I will most likely build it. Probably going to do a basic short block and see how far I can push it with a Good Cam. Until then Ill keep busy with the little things. Like a MAF delete, to those who have done it, did you have to put an air intake temp sensor in? I really want to replace the stock 52mm gauges this winter also. ….it never stops!!!!!

So you uninstalled the TN yourself and installed the Greddy on your own as well?
and then just had it sent out for a tune correct?
Really nice set up would love to do the same
also, hows it feel going from a ST to a TT set up?

Thanks for all the compliments. I did do the uninstall and install of the kits. Did not send the car out for a tune a friend of my has been tuning it for me. So that has made things alot easier.

I cant lie I do love these seats!!! Me and Leemik are not the only ones that went to Greddy TT, I think it is funny how many people really did the switch lol. I like the switch the TT is far more efficient than that t3/t4 setup.

I'm literally amazed that you went pretty much all out, but on a stock motor. Those seats can't be worth more to you than piece of mind?

I already told you how to delete the MAF... Come downstairs and ask me (or lets go into the garage and well...just do it), it's quicker than typing it all out and hoping to get an answer....

Lets make 13 psi happen and hope those paper mache HG's hang on
