Being that Mr. Dean is clearly new to the board i'm sure he had no idea that Luie was joking. Thats like a total stranger coming up to you at your mom's funeral and calling her a *****. He should have at least added a JK in there or something.

I had about 380whp. Let it be known I might be new as in thread count wise but I have been using this forum as a non-member for a while. I was well aware of the postings placed up here by various members about AAM, but when I went there I liked what I saw. I thought that some of the members might have been posting bias things about the shop. When you make a selection about a shop there is always a risk. There is no doubt in my mind that mike will take care of me and my car! I'm not a bias person at all, I always give my personal opinion weather it's what the public wants to hear or not, with that being said I changed the topic of the thread. Mainly because I feel like I was giving a biased based opinion.
HERE COMES THE BASHING!

FWIW, despite your intentions, you have created a thread that bashes the shop and their work. They will not be as likely to help you out now that you called them out.
Believe me, if they screwed up, they should be called out.
BUT
if you plan to keep using them, calling them out on their work, no matter how bad it is, it will **** them off. AAM looks at these threads too, you know.

There are several good performance shops that do not have multiple threads about them being crap. I don't know why anyone still takes a huge finacial risk by going with a shop or vendor that has so much bad press here.
OP, will you be ordering a CF hood anytime soon? because have I got just the vendor for you

Fist of all, "Mr Dean" is not at all new to the forums. In fact he has been banned several times under several Screen names for harassing Mid-Atlantic members.
With that out of the way, lets get this straight.
Your car had no problems!!!!!!!!!!!!! You've got to be kidding me.
1.) Prior to procharging your vehicle, you often ran a large shot of nitrous with a pieced together kit on a stock block without ems.
2.) Your Procharger was a used, pieced together mess that was poorly installed by the "other shop"/you. Your cog pulleys had no teethe left and could not hold a belt. The fact alone that the BOV was BLACKED TAPED ON by either you or the other shop tells everyone the running condition of this car.
3.)Your vehicle arrived with many misfire codes caused by a very poor tune. Your previous tune was significantly lean - lean enough to have done prior damage.
Here is what needed to be replaced at MINIMUM to get the kit and vehicle running correctly. If remember correctly, you just used random bolts, nuts, washers, and brackets to hold it all together. Not too mention, the "other shop" half-assed the rest of your kit.
-COG Drive Pulley x 2
-Idler Shaft
-Secondary Jackshaft
-Secondary Bearing Housing
-Engine Spacer Bracket (your was home-made)
-Secondary Dirv Pulley and Flange
-All new hardware
And what Did I do for you, personally? I got all of this installed on your car, along with the rest of what Frank fixed, for next to nothing.
About your "good" compression? You showed me it previously. And I'd say Not so good. Don't you remember? You told me about the "other shop" that did the initial Utec tune and compression check.
Mr Dean,
Give me a break. You know as well as I do, your car was not even close to being in good shape. Although we strongly advised against doing the minimum that your budget allowed, you insisted to get your car running. In hindsight, we should have denied the work. Nonetheless, we were willing to work with you and your budget. And because of your budget constraints, and our willingness not to let a car leave as a hazard, The work we completed FAR exceeded what you payed for
Its not our fault you and "another shop", one certainly not qualified to work on 350Zs, did all the initial work to your car. And its not our fault your car blew up.
By the way, for everyone to know, he sent us his car and posted this at the same time. If you were really disappointed with your prior service, why did you send it back? Or are you just trying to get a free motor out of this post?
I'll be the first to say, its not going to happen
Clint

When I call Mike up he begins to give me the instant shop disclaimer "the car had problems prior to me tuning it," but the car didn't. See what he fails to realize is that the day before bringing the car to him I had a compression check and a leak-down test done at a local shop.

I don't know. Maybe he doesn't want me to send his car back to him on the flat bad it came in on.
He called and informed us that he thought something was wrong with the motor. We said send it on over we'll take a look. At this point, everything was fine between customer and shop, I had no idea he would do this.
Then I come back from lunch and find this thread. Talk about frustrating . Especially because of how much I, and we, went out our way for him.
Like I said, maybe he thought he could get some free service or a motor out of this thread.
