RU-4410
I know this is has probably been answered already but hoping you guys can help out on this. I am trying to replace the PITA stock vortech filter. I bought the K&N RU-4410. In some research I did, it appears that the filter does not have a hole for the breather. Some people suggested using a crank breather or breather hose. Problem is I went to Autozone and they had no idea what I was talking about. Do you guys have a part# or size I could refer to to explain to them my needs? SOme people have mentioned concerns with airflow as well. Those who have went with the RU-4410 route... have you noticed any issues? Thanks ahead of time!

I can't even get my air filter out due to me having a g35 and not a 350z to clean not to mention replacing it with a differente filter.
is this filter you're getting larger or smaller?

that hole for the breather is just a hole that vortech drilled. you can drill your own hole as well.
with a breather you are just venting unused crank case air back into the atmosphere, rather than into the motor. has nothing to do with more or less air flow.
civic, those filters are good for 50,000 miles. no reason to have to pull it. either way, mine slides right out (g35 also)

Sorry I might not have explained the situation very well. I am not so much concerned about the breather hose and the crank case filter. I was talking about the vortech air filter. The RU-4410 filter is actually a smaller filter than the stock vortech air filter. Being that it is smaller, it would be easier to remove and clean/replace. However, it is smaller so I would assume air flow would be less due to the smaller surface area for the air to go through. So with air flow, I was wondering how that would affect boost, power, etc. Thanks.
ya i looked up that filter, and noticed it was smaller. that will be fine.
its easy to swap the filter by just pulling the tire well. takes like 2 minutes. with a 350, i'd run a extension tube to mount the filter over the IC. you'd have to pull the bumper to change, but cleaning every 50,000+ miles is like once every 2 or 3 years.
