Default 15-16psi+Greddy TT+Stock block+113k miles

I am going to make this nice and short, I have bought this Z about 2years ago with the greddy kit on it etc. I had issues with the fuel system in the beginning. Anyways all the problems got fixed and taken care of a while ago and I have been enjoying the car at 9psi for a long time. This year I decided its time for a motor build and a custom single turbo setup. For ***** and giggles we decided to turn up the boost and see how far the motor will go before it pops. Here is a quick run down

Nismo cams
Stock block
stock intake manifold
greddy tt
cjm stage1 fuel system
750cc injectors
utec w/map
WG Dumps tru-dual 3"exhaust

9.5psi the car made 448whp 444tq on 91 octane
13psi the car made 560whp 562tq on 114 octane
16psi-15psi the car made 597whp 618tq 114 octane

The car got abused on 9.5psi from drag racing/road racing/drifting and plenty of top speed runs. The same goes for 13psi. Now on the higher boost levels, injectors were about maxed out. Will be doing alot of testing and see if the motor will take the abuse at that boost level.

I know I am going to get the bunch off here who will question my numbers or go off the fact its a dynojet etc etc. Just be glad that it wasnt you or your motor that was getting pushed to its limits and actually others are doing it for you.

First we are in colorado 5800ft above sea level, this was done on a dyno jet, the numbers are corrected, correction factor was 1.18 on those days.

so how does the fuel pressure look on a returnless fuel system at that level (when you were pushing on the dyno for those high boost pulls)? Does it get all crazy?

What times did you run at the strip at 9 and 13psi-since you said you have extensive drag racing?

It is a return fuel system, had leaks got fixed, previous fuel pump install wasnt done right got fixed, walbro went out. Put in a Holley/Walbro HP Pump(the same part number as the honda one)

I have a spare complete longblock ready to be built, 2 spare trannys. This car has been boosted for a while I think almost 40k miles.

The car ran 11.8@118 on 9psi on stock suspension. I went a different route with the cars setup that it wasnt worth drag racing after that.
We went towards road racing/drifting.
www.streetfire.net search for the name slowerthanu . You will see the car in action. On youtube search under ekeric you see the car at the track. There will be more videos from the 13psi and 16psi posted around mid december.
I did blow 3rd gear in a old tranny, finished a JWT clutch. Now running a competition stage4 clutch with a act street lite flywheel.
noob hammer hahaha funny. I am prepared for all the flaming, doubting etc etc.... I have been lurking around here enough to see how you guys run the show on the forums.

*Flame suit on*

Doug, I am prepared on that part too. Injectors were at 95% duty cycle

The car pretty much is in Grenade mode!! I have a couple of 500whp evos, 600hp mustang to take care of on the enclosed race track tonight. I will be surprised if I actually drive it home.

I'm in for pics of the carnage post boom. I would be suprised if it lasted a full tank of gas (not sure with the higher octane though). Why not build the other block before you blow this one up? Seems like a lot less down time.

Saw your vids on youtube, your claims are true! Good luck and thanks for showing us what a stock block can hold.

I have been putting it off till we start seeing snow on the ground, it havent snowed here yet in colorado. We have been getting 70degree days in november which is crazy. Figured drive it enjoy it for now. I have really been meaning to build it in the beginning of the year, but the wifes Integra took majority of the spare time I got this year, between the new motor build and getting the car dialed in with her racing this year. All my fun money that was going in the Z, went into her race car this year, which put the Z on the back burner.

well couple factors.. the VTR Dyno is a bit inflated IMO ... this car is also dyno'd in Colorado so that would affect the numbers.. so it could be putting out more power.. and it depends on what type of dyno.. i thought i read mustang dyno some where.. or maybe he said he has mustangs
