Default APS TT Tuner Kit(D.I.Y install) + Haltech = The Injected Experience

I decided it was time to add some power to my 03 G35 coupe about a year ago. After spending the better part of a year researching the pro’s and con’s of all the single and twin turbo kits available, I went with the APS TT Tuner kit. Towards the end of my second back to back deployment this pass October, I contacted Bryan@Z1 and made a deposit for him to hold a APS kit until my return to the states. I spent the next month getting the final pieces and research where/how I could do the install. During this time frame I started talking with Hal@IP. What can I say about Hal that hasn’t been said a thousand times. He is extremely knowledgeable on the VQ platform and the customer service is second to none. I wanted to get my car tuned the weekend of Jan 2nd before I went back to work and he said no problem. The shop was closed and he still came in to tune my car. I drove 8 hours from VA to KY on the base map he made for me. I modified the part throttle portion of the base map for good gas mileage and a smooth ride. I got there early Friday morning, I gave Hal the keys and let him work his magic. We ran into a few issues with the haltech, but they were nothing Hal couldn’t fix. My car is the lowest that’s been on their dyno, it took some work to get it on there, hahahahhhahaa. I had a blast plus I got the see the green machine, and some upcoming projects they have going on. Enough talking on the random pics during the install and vid’s.

I'm uploading the dyno vid's to youtube. I will post them later tonight or tomorrow. I dyno'ed my car on a local dynojet the day before I started the TT install. When I get my car corner balanced next saturday, I will dyno at the same dynojet to compare the before and after numbers. I'm also curious to see what it will put down, since it made 403whp on a dyno dynamics dyno.

Ahhhhh a pic of Hal. He looks exactly like I thought he would. I am getting him squared away to come down here and tune mine.

Glad to see he got you hooked up.

Thanks Dameon for coming down, and for the kind words. It was nice meeting, and you have a great looking G that seems to be put together well. It was refreshing to see a self-install done right.

$4 an hour for stalls with lifts and $3 for stalls without a lift. I've been to a few hobby shops that has a paint booth and welding room as well.
