Sam was addressing both my issues. The leakdown and the failure of my turbo.

there are many good builds out there in the vq...however, its sad that larry is part of the group with "serious bad luck". I really hope he gets this sorted out soon(for quick part out? ).

The platform is not to blame. Anytime you take a car and built the motor, turbo it, etc., nothing is for sure anymore. Not to mention taking a non-turbocharged engine and adding turbos to it.

It just takes time and trial and error to figure everything out. When people first starting tuning the MKIV supras they were poping at 400-500whp, with people thinking they were weak. Now look where they are today.

They also didn't have the electronics that we have today.

That's why I want to start with a platform that is designed for forced induction or a car that doesn't require 20k for a reliable 550hp

And they also didnt have the deal with the electronic difficulties we have to overcome today.

This debate could go on for days, but you shouldnt blame the platform because its part of the game. Anything you throw money at and try to double or even triple the factory horsepower is going to have its issues. NOTHING is cheap. Sure there are "cheaper" options, but everything is a trade off.

Thanks Romey. This thread is not to lay blame with anyone. In my experience with both parties (GTM & Forged) both have always offered to help in any way they could if in fact they were at fault. Sam has always said that if he did something wrong he would take care of it so has Sharif. I know neither party want's to see me in this situation.

It's unfortunate I am in this situation again. If it wasn't for Quadcam I wouldn't have had the ability to do this again. I am not poor, but In this economy I don't have the money to layout every year for these problems. If Sharif's motor is lasting 2 years road racing with no ill effects my motor should be able to do so as well.
