the 98-100 is equiv to 94 ron in the US.

The tune looks wayy off. THats almost a honda vtec graph.

What EMS are u running? You cant just put in bigger injectors without an EMS.

I wonder if this is an *sissy stick*. (automatic) usually those will show charts like that as the trans slips... or maybe the dyno was done in reverse?

if it's not something slipping...then, boost spikes are out of control there...

why would his stock dyno be too high for a automagical? seemingly, it's higher than stock, anyway... i've never seen a true stock car manual or auto, reach those numbers... most never reach much past the 230whp mark.

Is it APS waisting your time or those who overstated the kit's ability? life's little quandries. Though, I don't think APS has ever adverstised their non-extreme TT kit as easily making 500+...

Ok, good points... He prob never reached 270whp... Nor did the TTs really hit 350whp..

Possibly not, but when you see vendors saying they are making 450+whp on stock blocks with the tuner kit and the extreme kit can make 700+whp, I just figured a built motor and meth would put me around 600whp. Did anyone expect the turbos to max out so low?

the TTs should do better than 350...450 on safe tune is my max number prediction.

there are so many mitigating factors that no one can say exactly what the final product will deliver. I struggled to get 500 from a fully built FP S1 shortblock, GReddy 18gs, UTEC, GReddy EVO TT exhaust and RC550s. People said it was the injectors and utec...so, i went 3" down pipes, open dumps, 1000cc HKS injectors and FCON... what did i gain? maybe 10hp at the wheels. Even on a c16 tune, i missed the 600whp mark by 38hp...

my thoughts on all of this...the new turbo design sucks and is inefficient...

- I saw that too the other day. Curious isn't it.....no graphs either, ask a vendor for a spec sheet, I doubt they have one from APS.

Didnt I already make the statement to you guys that APS is using the cheaper turbos. I wish someone would take their turbos to a turbo dealer I Guarantee you wont find any Garrett markings on it. Im sorry to see you not get what you expected. Who did you buy this turbo kit from and what HP goals did they say it would make?

with how much boost? im putting down 475whp on Forged performances Dyno dynamics with stock down pipes and 14psi. thats easily over 500whp at on Dynojet. couple more pounds of boost and 3" down pipes, i would hope to put down 500whp on the heartbreaker.

Only difference is you know that the turbonetics isnt going to make big power before hand. When I say big power i mean 600whp+ with no modifications to the orignal kit

Already been done r0me, we are efficient like that:

I have analysis of my APS turbos from the newer TT Tuner kit. This was done by Blouch Turbo in Lebanon, PA - they are an authorized Garrett distributor and know what they are talking about when it comes to Garrett products.

Mike Blouch and another guy at the shop both confirmed that the APS turbos contain zero Garrett internals. They said that these turbos are a knock off of the Garrett GT2860RS, but with journal bearings instead of BB. They were able to point to specific hardware that Garrett uses on all their products as well as the fact that the markings on these new APS turbos indicate that they are hand balanced and Garrett's are machine balanced and show a completely different type of tooling mark. Both of these guys are aware that I was planning on making this information public and said that they have no issue with putting their professional name behind these findings.

BTW, I have already contacted the vendor I purchased from and was told that they stand by their results with the turbos and they never stated a max hp rating. I asked specifically if they felt obligated to assist me in upgrading the turbos to match the performance of the original APS kit and was told no . AWESOME!!!
