I wonder how long it'll hold. I've seen shops (Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Subaru) do many things once then never speak of them again. ~1500 bhp going through a trans designed for 300, it is only a matter of time. It could be one drag strip run, it could be 100. Just because one person did a pull at 12xx hpr probably doesn't have anything to do with the question the OP asked so OP, don't go thinking you are safe up to 1200 hpr on the tranny and call it a day without talking to people who drive their cars on the street (like Alberto)

Mine has been set at at least 520rwhp up to almost 800rwhp for the last 5K miles all hard (its my toy car)....no issues yet.....

At some point yes all trans will go. There is a good thread on our trans too, they seem to be built pretty stout overall. Some early ones have a few synchro issues, but thats it.

I'm assuming you meant fluids.

Haven't changed the trans fluid yet (20K miles on the car). And I just put a 3.3diff in a month ago and put new fluid in with it. Prolly check maybe change the trans fluid next time we have the car in the air just to inspect it. Probably put a more stout fluid in it other than the stock stuff.

Every car/situation/driver is different. They can hold 1000+whp multiple passes, my tranny didnt last one 2-3 powershift at 525whp.

IMO-we dont have enough HARD drivers ragging very powerful cars who can report back. Everybody claims to be hard on cars but you know how that goes...

Well if you change your transvestites from time to time, I won't judge...everyone needs variety.

My diff fluid was nasty at 10k miles. That was when i really used to drive my car through the mountains....now it is all pothole avoidance and highway merging with NJ *******s

I definately drive my car hard (ask the locals here lol) however I just don't drive that much. Especially compared to some of you. I don't dd it (live and work about 4 miles apart so I take the bus).

Once it warms up here i'll be beating on it more and more though..holla.

You didn't indicate whether your transmission is a manual or automatic. I have a 6MT, but it's my understanding that the automatics need upgrades for the power numbers that you listed.

As far as the 6MT goes, some poeple have had issues with 3rd gear. Also, you will need a strong clutch.

it a Driving skills issue, or hard shifting

80% of Z drivers dont know how to shift.

Especially second and third Gear.

the tranny is good, its allways on the Driver

its a 6mt.

Well i was thinking of my opitions when i go boost, and the transmisson is one thing i didnt want to worry about.

I fear that if i do powershift 2-3rd it will break.

Any 06 mt's with power that has handle it semi-daily?
also, are there any transmissons places that can upgrade my gears and synchros???
thanks guys for the postive feed back, thats one thing i know is that shifting makes a whole of a difference.

Get a good clutch. I fried my Clutchmasters FX600 the first time I launched hard. The Carbonetics clutch is much, much stronger and is actually smoother. I have launched it very hard with no problems.

You can get upgraded syncros/gears from PAR in Australia. There is another thread on here related to that. I posted relavent information therein.

I checked out PAR's site but i saw nothing for 350z's. I wonder what it would cost to for stronger gears and some changes in size to alter the length.

I know there is like a 2.9x gear out there, because i remember reading about it when That one Guy ran his car on the salt flats, and either him or someone else was looking for longer gearing for top end runs.

I figure the changing of tranny gears vs the final drive, the tranny gear changes wont be as killing to my acceleration.
