bluefish,
watch for poor workmanship of the ati procharger.
And check the parts for any mismachined parts... Something could end up in your motor and cause some damage.

Can't wait for installation
. Thanks again!
This thread is really good if you want to see things to look out for with your Procharger. The one I contrubuted is in there too. One of the pulleys was rubbing on a wire (it contained three small wires) and it ate through them. I had to splice them back together and moved them.

It is interesting that after all the Brouhaha about the perils of strapping on the procharger; ATI is stll never short of customers. It is either that we all become teenager all over again and regain the feeling of imortality; or the procharger is all that it claims to be.
It'll never happen to me; to someone else maybe
not me.
Me included, looking forward to next week.
Doesn't it sometimes feel like we're buying a lottery ticket, and before we turn that key, we hold our breath?
All the best!

Just to clarify here, the Frenzy thread is just a list of things TO LOOK FOR. It is NOT a description of things that HAVE HAPPENED.
I fixed the wires in like 20 minutes. It wasn't a big deal. If you get the Procharger installed and tuned by someone good, I don't see any problems.

Both of them had some sort of issue. Make sure that the supercharger is not wrinkled on the surface. They might have mis-machined it.
Or take a look at the welds on the intake pipe and make sure there aren't any extra metal piece hanging down inside the pipe that might get into the motor and kill a cylinder.
You will have to cut a flap on the frame rail to make the charger fit correctly and align up so you know.
BTW? What's with the attitude? I'm just trying to help ya out...
Besides the so-so workmanship, the kit definitely makes the power. And I like that power... I have driving the car it's fast.

No workmanship problems with my ProCharger (in fact the machining was pretty good), and I inspected everything very closely. The only pipe welds are on the reducer and the bypass fittings, and they were all good. On the cut the frame rail deal, not so... You just clock it over to the next set of bolts and it fits perfectly. Trust me that I know because I installed it myself. There are a couple gottchas in the install manual, but those little quirks can be easily worked around. If I ever do another one, I'm pretty sure I can get it down to 10-12 hours for the install. I'd tend to put more credence in comments of someone who has actually installed one rather than second-hand "they said" commentary. Jetting right along...
