Oh I see bro. I'm starting things figure out. I will try get some pulls tonight. I'm adding a small piece between my exhaust pipe now, hopefully that will help back pressue1.
thats one thing great about the utec it pulls timing when it picks up knock. Dont worry ur motor is not going to blow. Sometimes 1 knock count is just engine noise. I dont know were your knock threshold is set at.
I would like to see a 4th gear pull if possible it will tell us more.

Stop what you're doing ... with a centrifugal SC, you do NOT want to add back pressure. Think about it, with the blower you're throwing MORE exhaust than stock so you already have added back pressure vs stock simply based on that fact.
The perfect world is a free flowing exhaust with appropriate scavenging and velocity.
So, unless you're doing something related to one of those two .... just stop.
To be honest with you, you'll see the biggest benefit from a properly designed collector that promotes scavenging and increases velocity. By adding restrictors or smaller diameter pipes, you'll have velocity on the opposite end, but you're making the pump on the sending side work harder (in this case, your pistons).
People tend to complain about power loss when opening up their exhaust on some cars, that's because the collector is poorly designed and scavenging isn't happening and there's no velocity.
Moral of the story ... back pressure = bad. Scavenging + Velocity = win.

^ he is right leave your exhaust be. A little backpressure does help though in somecases.
Waiting for another log try to get it in 4th if u have a safe place to do it.
Take it up to 6400 rmps at least in 4th.
you baby it too much
lol

Dave,
Too late, I already cut it. Lol but I just thought, have headers and 2.5 hfc and 2.5 true dual flows too much air(since it feels like hard to build boost). Eh?? If it does feel weird or makes worst I will go ahead put the diff custom pipe.
Frankie, you funny man hahaha

you have to stomp on the gas tp get a proper log. just get on the highway real slow in 3rd. I always start my 3rd gear pulls from 2000 rpms and run them up to my redline.
you need to do a log like that to get a feel for all the load columns.

Dude ... seriously, put it back the way it was.
You will never feel that sudden surge of power like you do in a turbo, so make sure you don't have that expectation (sounds like you do). With an SC, it builds power in a linear fashion, I mean ... look at your dyno graph. It's looks and will feel exactly like an NA car with tons of power.
Trust me, you're doing more harm that good by introducing back pressure.

But oh well i dropped it off and i went to startbucks real quick when they doing a job...and what they did is they just added small pipe between a pipe..like H pipe...i was like..ok. They were closing time so no time to fix it...I gotta go back tommorow morning and put it back way it was...

Now my car making a weird noise at 2000RPMs haha. Funny tho you low down the window you don't hear it

1. connect Utec
2. go to data logs which 1 - 6 ( I press 1 )
3. Then you will see whole bunch numbers moving
4. Go look where file, edit view call transfer help
5. click transfer, you will see "capture Text"
6. once you click it, you will get a box pop up. You can name the file..( just go ahead click "OK"
7. after click ok, you are back to the data logging screen
8. Now you are ready to go, before make a pull you press space bar to start, after pull press space bar to stop
9. then go back to click " capture text ", you will see you can click "stop"
Edit:
ALWAYS ENSURE THAT CAPS LOCK IS OFF!!
“w” or “i” moves cursor up
“a” or “j” moves cursor left
“d” or “l” moves cursor right
“s” or “k” moves cursor down
“TAB” moves cursor down
“ENTER” selects or inserts
“CTRL” and “SHIFT” plus other keys are used for several functions
“CTRL and x” typically exits the Menu
“ESC” typically cancels a selection
“SPACE” starts and stops the data logger

well fortunately my luck with my N/A Z is great *knocks on wood* it dynos higher than average bone stock, no issues with the motor... I'm hoping that buying the kit wasnt a bad decision... if i have to fix something every week, i have a feeling it'll get old quick.
