Default HKS BOV on vortech

I know vortech uses bpv and it stays open during idle and such. i was just wondering what would be the downside of running hks bov on the vortech. I feel it may work fine since it is a pull type bov and it opens under vacume. I know few people running hks bov on their superchargers on various cars including maximas and g35s. What harm could it do? or what good can it do?

Wow, that was a long time ago thread. I just ran into it again. So I ran a HKS bov anyways, it was fine I ran it for about 10k miles no prblems. Except when around 4-5rpm the valve wouldn't open under low vacuume so it would blow the excess air out of the blower. I know I will probably get flammed for this but the blower was actually made to handle a little compressor surge so it should be fine. I ran it it with no problems. i changed to greddy type S now to get a different sound but I think i will go back to the hks.

^obviously that is a problem as the vortech unit never does that.

using a nonworking unit just for sound is the riciest thing you can possibly do!
